Many Sales people confuse Branding, Marketing, and Sales activities.
If this is you, you need to read this.
Because if you mixed them up on social media, you are doomed to fail.
If you know the difference of each and you know how to execute them, you are destined to succeed.
Branding = LONG-TERM social media campaigns
Marketing = SHORT-TERM social media campaigns
Sales = does not require any social media campaign
Eh? Eh? Eh?
BRANDING
Branding is where many sales people fail.
Posting their products or services left and right make their prospects run away from them.
If you are a real estate agent, your brand is YOU, and not the developer's.
People buy from people they KNOW, LIKE, and TRUST.
And only branding can establish that.
Get your story out there.
MARKETING
Too much marketing kills your business.
Over promotion kills your business.
The world shifted and will continue to shift, so as marketing strategies.
Your marketing methods now will become obsolete in the future.
Posting your products daily will not make you good at marketing because it's not even marketing.
Nobody cares about you or your product.
People care about their own sh*t.
And if you know how to translate this to marketing while connecting your product, you will succeed.
For example...
Nike don't sell shoes; they sell the idea of overcoming odds.
Apple don't sell hardware; they sell a challenge to the status quo.
Jollibee don't sell food; they sell happiness.
Get it?
Think out of the box.
SALES
Sales is when you close deals, whether through a phone or video call or face-to-face, and not on social media.
I know a lot of sales people who try to close a deal through CHAT, which is a recipe for disaster.
Social media marketing is called as such for a reason...you don't sell on social media.
You sell when you engage with a potential buyer.
And remember, people don't want to get sold to but they love to buy.
I hope this post helps you.
Live Better,
Nino
