As announced by Atty. Ayla Herazade Salendab, ULAS Office Executive Officer, during the Access to Justice Summit: 2nd Philippine Clinical Legal Education Summit (CLEP Summit) on October 6 to 8, 2026, at the Baguio Country Club in Baguio City, the First Compliance Period will be extended until December 31, 2028.

Further details on the extension and the applicable guidelines will be provided in an official advisory of the Supreme Court. Stay tuned to official ULAS channels for updates.

⚖️ IBP MANILA IV CHAPTER JOINS PTLAI LEGAL OUTREACH IN MARILAO, BULACAN ⚖️

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines IBP Manila IV Chapter actively participated in the PHILIPPINE TRIAL LAWYERS ASSOCIATION, INC. (PTLA)’s legal outreach program, “Libreng Konsulta sa Mga Abogado/Abogada,” held on September 27, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the National Shrine and Parish of the Divine Mercy, Sta. Rosa I, Marilao, Bulacan.

The outreach was conducted in partnership with the Knights of Columbus 15933, IBP CalMaNa, and IBP Manila IV, bringing free legal consultation and assistance closer to parishioners and members of the community who sought guidance on their legal concerns. The activity reflects the continuing commitment of the participating organizations to make the law more accessible and meaningful to those who need legal assistance.

Eight members of IBP Manila IV Chapter generously shared their time, knowledge, and expertise in providing legal counseling and assistance to parishioners: Atty. Nelson Manalili, PTLAI Director; Atty. Yolando F. Lim, PTLAI Secretary General; Atty. Jane Kathyrine Lim-Marquez; Atty. Majesca Sarmiento, PTLAI Assistant Treasurer; Atty. Jeen Lim; Atty. Vlad Bugaring; Atty. Rem Nald Ronald Remollena; and Atty. Pierre Kenric Nadres.

The activity was preceded by the Induction of New Members, during which three new members of IBP Manila IV Chapter were formally inducted, marking another milestone in their professional journey and their commitment to uphold the ideals and responsibilities of the legal profession.

The IBP Manila IV Chapter extends its appreciation to PTLAI National President Atty. Pete Principe and PTLAI Secretary General Atty. Yolando F. Lim, as well as the Knights of Columbus 15933, IBP CalMaNa, and the National Shrine and Parish of the Divine Mercy, for making this meaningful undertaking possible.

Through initiatives such as this, the legal profession continues to demonstrate that justice is best served when it reaches the people—especially those who need it most.

⚖️ KATARUNGANG PAMBARANGAY LAW: IBP ABOGADO BARANGAY CARAVAN – 11TH LEG IN INTRAMUROS

Bringing the law closer to the people! The IBP Manila IV Chapter successfully held the Katarungang Pambarangay Law: IBP Abogado Barangay Caravan 11th Leg in Intramuros at the Knights of Columbus Manila Council 1000, Beaterio St., Intramuros, Manila, serving 71 residents from Barangays 654 to 658.

The community received free lectures on the Katarungang Pambarangay Law, Data Privacy Act, Anti-VAWC Act, and Small Claims Rule, delivered by Chapter resource speakers Atty. Roel Yu, Atty. Mai Salanguit-Magno, Atty. Iris Kristin Lapuz, and Atty. Nene Barquez, respectively.

The legal education was complemented by free legal counselling and assistance from 17 IBP Manila IV lawyers, including legal advice, drafting of legal documents, and notarization—helping community members better understand and assert their legal rights.

The activity was led by Atty. Nelson H. Manalili, President of IBP Manila IV Chapter, who also served as emcee. Free lunch was provided to all participants.

🤝 This meaningful community outreach was conducted in partnership with the Knights of Columbus Manila Council 1000, headed by Grand Knight Atty. Earl Louie Masacayan, who delivered the Closing Remarks, and with the support of the Rotary Club of Intramuros, headed by President Joey Lat, who delivered the Welcome Remarks.

The 11th Leg forms part of the 2026 IBP Nationwide Synchronized Katarungang Pambarangay Law and Community Legal Aid Service, reaffirming the Chapter's continuing commitment to bringing justice, legal knowledge, and meaningful legal assistance closer to every community. ⚖️🤝
