"Trapik na kaayo ang Davao City"
This is the sentiment of most Dabawenyos today. But looking at the bigger picture, the city is still a work in progress.
The billions of pesos worth of infrastructure projects are still under construction, including:
• DavaoBus Project with its academy, depots, terminals, bus stops, and bus lanes,
• Davao Coastal Road with its Bucana Bridge and the remaining segment in Roxas Avenue and the Agdao Segment,
• Davao Bypass Road with its twin-tunnel, various underpasses, viaducts, and bridges,
• Samal Island-Davao Connector Bridge, and
• several bypass roads and bridges.
These projects are expected to help ease the city's traffic and transportation issues. However, most, if not all, of them have been delayed and are way off their initial target start of operations due to various reasons. But the city and its leadership are eager to expedite their completion.
Nevertheless, these projects are expected to be completed in the coming years. Gamayng antos ug hulat nalang sa gyud.
The wait and sacrifice will surely be worth it. Puhon!
