NATIONAL UPDATE: President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has signed Executive Order No. 41, suspending the collection of toll fees on local and national roads for any vehicles transporting goods. The decision aims to reduce costs in food logistics.

All local government units (LGUs) are strongly urged to suspend or discontinue the collection of toll or pass-through fees in order to promote free travel of goods across the country. These fees include but are not limited to sticker fees, discharging fees, delivery fees, market fees, toll fees, entry fees, and Mayor’s Permit fees.

DID YOU KNOW? Republic Act 10742 or the SK REFORM LAW is a landmark legislation. This is the first law ever passed in Philippine history with an anti-political dynasty provision. Chapter 2, Section 10 of the law states that a candidate for SK must NOT be related within the second civil degree of consanguinity (relationship by blood) or affinity (relationship by marriage) to any incumbent elected official.
