In observance of the Holy Week, please be advised that the RMC Legal Aid Clinic will have adjusted office hours:

๐Ÿ“Œ April 2โ€“3, 2026 (Maundy Thursday & Good Friday) โ€“ Closed

Regular operations will resume thereafter.

Holy Week is one of the most sacred observances in the Christian calendar. It commemorates the passion, suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, a profound reminder of sacrifice, love, and redemption. Beginning with Palm Sunday and culminating on Easter Sunday, this period invites us to pause from our daily routines and reflect on our faith, values, and relationships with others.

For many, it is a time of prayer, repentance, forgiveness, and spiritual renewal. It also encourages us to embody compassion, humility, and service, principles that resonate deeply even beyond religious practice.

May this Holy Week bring peace, reflection, and renewed hope to all. Thank you for your understanding.

30th Anniversary Celebration โ€“ Tambayan Center for Childrenโ€™s Rights, Inc. ๐ŸŽ‰

Last February 27, 2026, at the Covered Court of Brgy. 22-C, the Tambayan Center for Childrenโ€™s Rights, Inc. celebrated its 30th Anniversary with the theme โ€œDefending Dreams and Protecting Lives.โ€ From 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, the event brought together partners and the community in a meaningful celebration highlighted by a multi-faith prayer, inspirational messages, engaging performances by the IDOL Theater Group, and educational sessions on child protection and rights. The celebration also featured free legal services, food distribution and meals, as well as fun activities such as Palarong Pinoy and a photo booth.

This initiative was made possible through the support of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), Barangay 76-A, Rizal Memorial Colleges Legal Aid, Family Planning Organization of the Philippines, MONDE Nissin, Rise Against Hunger Philippines (RAHP), and KINASANG-AN FDN. With the dedicated service of 12 supervising lawyers and 21 Law Student Practitioners (LSPs), legal assistance was extended to the community through notarial services, legal advice under the supervision of newly licensed attorneys, and assistance in the preparation of judicial affidavits.

On January 28, 2026, the RMC Law School Practice Students (LSPS) conducted a court visit at the RTC Sta. Cruz Branch 7 Family Court as part of the Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP). The activity allowed the students to observe actual court proceedings and gain practical insights into family court processes and courtroom practice.

Participating in the court visit were Jodell Enero, Kenneth Infante, and Veronica Maglana, who had the opportunity to witness firsthand how legal principles are applied in real courtroom settings.

This activity is conducted in line with the Law Student Practice Rule of the Supreme Court, which aims to provide law students with practical training and supervised exposure to the justice system, bridging legal theory with real-world legal practice.

Today, the Rizal Memorial Colleges Legal Aid Office stands in solidarity with women everywhere in celebrating International Womenโ€™s Day.

We honor the courage, dignity, and strength of women, and we reaffirm our continuing commitment to the protection and promotion of womenโ€™s rights, equality, and access to justice.

May this day remind us that the pursuit of a just society begins with recognizing the voice, worth, and power of every woman.

Happy International Womenโ€™s Day!

This afternoon at the RMC Legal Aid Office, we prepared a petition for a client who needed help and hope in equal measure. Beside us stood Atty. Pancho Navarro Jr., our supervising lawyer, once a CLEP student himself. Also with him is Atty. Charity Jane Villahermosa Adil, also once a CLEP student. Around them were our present CLEP students, LSP Levels 1 and 2, learning not only the law, but the quiet courage it takes to serve.

Two generations, one mission. Those who were once guided now become guides, and those who are learning today will someday extend the same hand to another. This is how justice survives. Passed on, lived out, and carried forward for every indigent client who simply needs someone to stand with them.
