The outreach activity Katungod, Katungdanan, Katibayan (K*K Legal Aid) was successfully conducted through the initiative of JCI Kadayawan, with legal aid partners from the JMCFI College of Law – CLEP Students.

The program included a Legal Literacy Talk on Violence Against Women and Children (RA 9262) and Child Marriage Awareness, aimed at strengthening community knowledge on important rights and legal protections.

Free documentation assistance and legal advice were also provided by our dedicated volunteer lawyers and volunteer paralegals, helping residents of Barangay Tamugan with their legal concerns and inquiries.

Through this activity, the organizers continue their commitment to promote legal awareness, access to justice, and community empowerment.

LOOK: Oath-Taking for Level II Certification

Last March 10, 2026, the students of the Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP 1) of the JMCFI College of Law proudly took their oath for Level II Certification, marking an important milestone in their journey toward becoming practice-ready future lawyers.

The oath-taking signifies their readiness to take on greater responsibility in the Clinical Legal Education Program, upholding the values of integrity, competence, and service as they continue their legal training.

CLEP Externship Orientation for Davao Law Students hosted by Davao City Justice Zone and UM Law School.

It was a successful onboarding activity held on September 30, 2025 where law students from various Davao law schools — Ateneo de Davao University, University of Mindanao, Rizal Memorial Colleges, Jose Marie College Foundation, and the University of Southeastern Philippines with the highly respected offices — Public Attorney's Office, City Prosecution Office, Parole and Probation Administration, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Department of Labor and Employment-NXMB, National Labor Relations Commission RAB XI, NAPOLCOM, Department of Agrarian Reform, and the IBP Davao Legal Aid Office, among others gathered to formally launch the externship deployment under Rule 138-A of the Rules of Court.

The externship program is designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice where future lawyers step closer to the practice of law.
