April 15, 2026 | 1447 AH Shawwal 27 — The Committee on Human Settlements and Development (CHSD) of the Bangsamoro Parliament revisited key provisions of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) on housing and community development to craft a clearer and more responsive regional housing framework, including the proposed creation of a dedicated housing agency to address the needs of low-income and conflict-affected families; discussions also covered current housing policies and programs of the Bangsamoro Government, including MHSD initiatives and the KAPYANAN program, with proposals to expand housing assistance to low-income earners, explore Shariah-compliant financing, and advance pending measures such as Parliament Bill No. 68 promoting solar energy in socialized housing for sustainable and inclusive development.

MP Romeo K. Sema, DPA led the launch of the Multi-Purpose Human Development Training Center and the Level II Solar-Powered Water System in Brgy. Dalumangcob, Sultan Kudarat, aimed at improving public services and creating opportunities for the community; he emphasized that these projects also honor the sacrifices of the Mujahideen and Mujahidat, with OIC Minister Aldin H. Asiri of MHSD and Bangsamoro Darul Ifta Executive Director Marhan Borhan joining the event and highlighting the importance of unity for sustained development, while further housing initiatives are being explored and residents are encouraged to safeguard these projects for long-term community benefit.
