RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 2018 REVISED TRIBUNAL’S RULES OF PROCEDURE AS THE OFFICIAL RULES IN PROTECTING AND ENFORCING CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, PLEADING, PRACTICE, AND PROCEDURE IN THE STUDENT TRIBUNAL

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒, Article 8 Section 1 of the 2015 University of Northern Philippines Student Government Constitution, hereinafter referred to as the 2015 UNP SG Constitution, vested the composing the Truthful and Responsible University Student Tribunal, hereinafter referred to as TRUST, judicial power;

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒, Article 8 Section 2 of the 2015 UNP SG Constitution further states that “The TRUST shall (2.5) promulgate its own rules;”

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒, in November 21, 2018, the TRUST promulgated and approved 2018 Revised Tribunal’s Rules of Procedure regarding the protection and enforcement of students’ rights and obligations;

𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄, by virtue of the power vested by the 2015 UNP SG Constitution, the TRUST, sitting en banc, resolved to ADOPT the 2018 Revised Tribunal’s Rules of Procedure as the official rules in protecting and enforcing constitutional rights, pleading, practice
and procedure in the Student Tribunal.

RESOLUTION ELECTING JAYSON R. RAPISURA AS THE CHIEF ADJUDICATOR OF THE TRUTHFUL AND RESPONSIBLE UNIVERSITY STUDENT TRIBUNAL (TRUST)

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒, Article 8 Section 3 of the 2015 University of Northern Philippines Student Government Constitution, hereinafter referred to as the 2015 UNP SG Constitution, vested the Adjudicators composing the Truthful and Responsible University Student Tribunal, hereinafter referred to as TRUST, the privilege to elect among themselves a Chief Adjudicator;

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒, in March 29, 2023, a regular meeting was conducted for the election of the TRUST’s Chief Adjudicator wherein all the appointed adjudicators attended the meeting;

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒, the majority of the adjudicators elected Adjudicator Jayson R. Rapisura as the Chief Adjudicator;

𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄, by virtue of the power vested by the 2015 UNP SG Constitution, the TRUST, sitting en banc, resolved to ELECT JAYSON R. RAPISURA as the Chief Adjudicator of the TRUST.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

The application for membership recommendation in the Truthful and Responsible University Student Tribunal (TRUST) shall be extended until November 11, 2022, Friday. The application results shall be released on November 14, 2022, Monday.

As per Article 8, Section 4 of the Student Government Constitution of the University of Northern Philippines, the members of the TRUST shall:

(1) be bona fide students of the University of Northern Philippines;
(2) be of good moral character; and
(3) have no failing or incomplete grade certified by the Dean.

Those who will be selected to fill up the four (4) open seats of the Student Tribunal shall be recommended to their respective deans, pending their appointment by the Student Council President in consonance with Article 8, Section 5 of the Student Government Constitution.

This selection process shall be conducted asynchronously. Aspirants are only required to: (1) fill up the online application form; and (2) submit a written interview attached below in the application form.

It's official! #𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗞 on All Soul's Day!

In adherence to the Executive Order no. 24, s. 2022 released by the City Government of Vigan, classes in public schools in all levels in the City are suspended on November 2, 2022.

This is to give the students in the various public schools of Vigan City an ample opportunity to honor their loved ones together with their relatives, and members of their families.

"Please be informed that work and classes will resume tomorrow, October 27, 2022 with the lifting of Executive Order (EO) no. 22, series of 2022 issued by the City Mayor of Vigan that suspended classes and work after an Earthquake of 6.7 magnitude affected the city last October 25, 2022," UNP President Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna announced today.

He added that regular classes shall be held accordingly except those classes in the College of Teacher Education (CTE) Academic building, Laboratory Schools (LS) building and Southern portion of the College of Fine Arts and Design (CFAD) Building. Classes mentioned are advised to be conducted online.

Moreover, the university President also asks everyone to be cautious in sharing images of the affected buildings caused by the earthquake in social media to avoid panic and paranoia.
