To my patients who are still having second thoughts about the vaccines. Please do not give COVID the opportunity to infect you. If you are offered the vaccine, please get vaccinated.
Common questions:
Q: doc may sakit ako sa heart, etc. May gamot ako maintenance. Puede ba ako magpabakuna?
A: YES. Lalo na kung ikaw ay may sakit sa puso, high blood, at diabetes, ikaw ang mas higit na nangangailangan ng proteksyon laban sa COVID.

Q: May iniinum po ako panglabnaw ng dugo (Clopidogrel, Aspirin, warfarin, rivaroxaban, dabigatran o apixaban), puede po ba ako magpabakuna.
A: YES. Hindi hadlang ang mga gamot na iyan sa bakuna. Ngunit dapat nyo sabihin sa doctor sa vaccination center ang gamot na iyan para gumamit sila ng mas maliit na karayom o kaya mas matagal sila mag apply ng pressure sa injection site para maminimize ang pagkakaron ng pasa.

Q; Doc may history po ako ng allergy sa gamot, sa pagkain, etc. Puede po ba ako magpabakuna?
A: YES. Ang bawal lang po ay kung may history na nagkaron ng allergic reaction sa bakuna.

Q: Doc matanda na ako, puede po ba ako magpabakuna?
A: YES. Kasama po ang mga elderly sa vulnerable group. Kaya importante na mabakunahan sila.

Q: Doc ligtas ba ang mga bakuna.
A: YES. Kahit na po may nababalita na mga may mga naging side effect, bilang mga responsableng doctor need po natin sabihin po iyon. Pero ang incidence ay napakababa. Tulad po ng sinasabi nila na report na blood clot sa Astra vaccine, incidence po ay 4 in 1,000,000.

Q: Effective po ba ang mga bakuna?
A: YES. Lahat po ng bakuna nakalista sa larawan ay nakakaprevent 100% sa severe COVID. Yan naman po ang habol naming mga doctor. Hindi natin maaring hangarin i-prevent lahat ng klase ng COVID. Wag lang po tayo ma-hospital at mamatay.

Q: Totoo ba na okay ang Sinovac? Gawa yan doc sa China, baka tubig lang yan.
A: YES. Effective naman po ang Sinovac based sa mga studies done sa Turkey, Indonesia and Brazil. Bakit mababa ang efficacy na nireport sa Brazil? Ang Brazil trial ang ONLY trial na nagsubok magbakuna sa mga healthcare workers (HCW) na mataas ang exposure rate. Kahit po ang Pfizer or Moderna vaccine na nilagay sa pedestal ng ibang Pilipino, ay hindi nagsubok sa HCW. Tubig ba ang nainject? Nagtest po ako at iba kong kasamahan ng antibodies namin, nagpositive naman po ang result kaya hindi po tubig ang laman ng syringe.

Walang puwang ang politika dito. Kung maka anti-China, wag gamitin sa medisina at sa desisyon na magpabakuna. Importante ang buhay ng bawat isa.
