Societas Scutariorum Legis, Inc. - Scutarius My Shield, My Guardian, My Friend Scutarius, which means “defenders of the law”, aims to shield the honor and prestige of lawyering.

Formed on the year 1991, fifteen founding members felt a sense of camaraderie and brotherhood in which they then decided to make their rag tag group of misfits official. It is one of the oldest student organizations in USC law school and was registered under SEC as a non-stock non-profit organization. Scuts aid individuals, who dream to be lawyers, feel that they are not alone in their battles in

law school and beyond. Societas Scutariorum Legis Inc. was formed for one purpose, to aid law students in their pursuit of the study of Law. Its base of operations is in the heart of University of San Carlos College of Law and together with the College as well as the various student organizations, it shall achieve what it is aimed to do. Under the original banner “my shield, my guardian, my friend”, Scuts hopes to make the organization live up to its name treating the law as its protector and its confidant. Current Set of Officers:
