🍀Serenity Funeral Services is 🍀

The reason why we had the memorial in Malaga, Spain is because Karl wants to have the best memorial for Leny. When Michael from Serenity expressed that he will have a challenging time conducting the memorial in Murcia, Spain, Karl immediately made the difficult decision of having it in Malaga. He knew he was probably going to be alone due to logistical concerns but bueno, no pasanada.

Below is the review of Karina from United Kingdom, one of Leny’s Bestfriends as she coordinated with Serinity Funeral Directors in behalf of Karl and Ignalaga family.

I will forever be grateful to Michael from Serenity Funeral Services in Spain for the compassion, kindness, and dedication he showed during one of the most painful moments of my life. Organizing my best friend’s funeral while I was in the UK felt overwhelming, but Michael carried so much of that burden for me. From the very beginning, he was incredibly prompt, accommodating, and completely transparent with every step. He listened carefully to all our wishes and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done with dignity, respect, and love.

What truly touched my heart was how deeply he seemed to care. He was not just a funeral director handling arrangements—he became someone who gently guided me through a very difficult time. Communication with him was always easy. He was patient, considerate, and always willing to listen. It felt like I had a friend helping me honour my best friend’s life.

Michael and the team also arranged an online livestream of the service and cremation so our family and friends in the Philippines could attend and say their goodbyes despite the distance. That meant so much to all of us and brought great comfort knowing that those who loved her could still be part of her farewell.

I also want to say that Michael is truly an exceptional mortician. Seeing my best friend prepared with such care was deeply emotional. He made her look so beautiful and dignified, allowing us to remember her peacefully and with love. It takes a special kind of person to do that with such respect and compassion.

The service he organised in Spain was beautiful, heartfelt, and truly honoured my best friend’s life. He also carefully facilitated all the repatriation paperwork for her ashes, ensuring everything was handled smoothly.

Thank you, Michael, and thank you to the entire Serenity Funeral Services team. Your kindness, professionalism, and genuine care will never be forgotten. You helped carry us through a heartbreaking time, and for that I will always be deeply grateful. 💙💚🤗🙏

🍀When Leny unfortunately passed away, the KaLe team was distraught. However, we were reminded of what Leny would have wanted us to do and we realized that we should continue to accomplish the needs of our valued clients because failure to do so would amount to penalties and fines from governmental institutions.

🍀No excuses. Livelihoods are at stake. Small business owners and their employees are always vulnerable. We completely understand because KaLe is also a small business and we also have our trustworthy and reliable employees to take care of.

🍀 The article below was published by La Verdad (The Truth) a daily newspaper based in Murcia, Spain. It is the largest newspaper of the Murcia province as well as of the Albacete province.

🍀Karl is grateful that La Verdad journalists were able to consider Leny’s story newsworthy enough to be published by such a prestigious publication. Karl hopes that this will inform the people of Murcia that medical professionals must always exercise extraordinary diligence in treating their patients.

🍀Karl is simply seeking the truth. If the findings of the medical forensic will determine that all was regular and proper in the way the hospital staff medically treated Leny, then Karl will find closure. But if the investigation will find any irregularity, then Karl will fully cooperate with his Spanish lawyer and seek out the necessary justice that the Spanish Judicial System can provide.

🍀Meet Dr. Why, one of KaLe’s valued and pioneer clients. She is an award-winning entrepreneur, neurodiversity coach, and founder of a children's product brand. As a certified Autism/ADHD coach, she leads a company providing specialized support for families, teens, adults, and workplaces.

🍀Aside from the above-mentioned, she is one of KaLe’s closest friend. When she learned of Leny’s unfortunate passing, she immediately reached out to Karl and welcomed him to her lovely home together with her amazing family at Valencia, Spain. She also arranged social activities for him in order to provide him the necessary mental first-aid and prepared delicious Persian food that definitely nursed his grieving heart.

Following our recent announcement of the passing of our beloved Ma Leny “Malen” Ignalaga, we would like to provide an official update:

🍀 Investigation and Repatriation

Formal legal proceedings have been initiated in Murcia, Spain to gain a clearer understanding of the circumstances surrounding Malen’s passing.

Atty. Karl Arriola, the common law husband of Malen, and the Ignalaga family are one in seeking a full investigation, which includes a formal medical review, to resolve all doubts and to find the clarity we need in relation to Malen's untimely demise.

Karl will be with Malen in Spain until such proceedings are completed.

Afterwards, as Malen is currently in Spain, we also have to comply with the necessary requirements of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Philippines for her eventual repatriation to Cebu City, Philippines, and subsequently, her return back home to Victorias City, Negros Island Region.

🍀In summary, and to set expectations, it may take some time before Karl can bring Malen home to the Philippines.

We humbly request everyone to respect the privacy of the people close to Leny, most especially her family.
