The Law Student Practitioners (LSPs) under the Green Legal Clinic of the University of Cebu Office of the Legal Aid, under the supervision of Atty. Kristine Joy Argallon organized a lecture workshop on the topics: "Talking About Information Security" and "The Role of International Tribunals and Advisory Opinions in Navigating the Climate Emergency" last August 17, 2024 at the University of Cebu School of Law Moot Court, UC-Banilad Campus. The esteemed speakers were Ms. Mikaela Brough, a Ph.D. Researcher in Information Security at the Royal Holloway, University of London, United Kingdom, and Atty. Nicole Ann Ponce, the Asian Front Convenor and Member of the Steering Committee of the World’s Youth for Climate Justice (WYCJ).

The lecture workshop started with Ms. Brough’s talk about Information Security, especially for global environmental movements and their approach to physical and digital security, and how these approaches inform their technological decisions. This was followed by Atty. Ponce’s talk on the Role of International Tribunals and Advisory Opinions in Navigating Climate Emergency. The World Youth for Climate Justice is a global Youth led movement campaigning to seek an Advisory Opinion from the World's Highest Court on Climate Change and Obligations of States before the International Court of Justice.

The lecture was organized by the Clinical Legal Education students namely, Sandra Garcia (3L), Aloja Garcia (3L), Erika Jenn Quisil (3L), Mersha Rose Lopena (3L), Ronnel John Romagos, (3L) Remy Dianne Abarca (3L), Sheena Angeline Holgado (3L), and Frexello Aton (3L).
