Saint Clare College of Region 02 began with only eight (8) Nursery kids who were housed in the old building of a retired district supervisor of the Cauayan South District. With these eight kids, we were able to get a permit from the Department of Education, Culture and Sports in 1993 to operate this learning center. Since, it was intended as a drop-in center where working mothers leave their child
ren ages 2 ยฝ to 4 ยฝ , it was named as Saint Clare Center of Excellence for Better Children. After two years of operation, more parents came to leave their children to us so, we expanded the curriculum to include 5 to 6 years old. These parents clamored for the opening of a grade school to continue caring for their children as more parents came to leave their kids to us. So, we opened two grades every year and eventually completed the elementary course in 1998-1999. Though our space was limited, we were given a government permit because we complied with the standard rules and regulations of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, (DECS) and because of the soundness of our curriculum based on our Vision, Mission and Objectives. More inspirations came for our students and parents and above all the Divine Providence which led us to expand to the Secondary level. Like what we did with our elementary course, we opened one curriculum level every year from 2001 to 2006. However, to be able to get government recognition we were advised to buy a lot and put up our own building. We complied with the recommendations of the Department of Education (DepED) so, we got our recognition on April 13, 2009. Saint Clare College of Region 02 is a non-sectarian school which serves the educational, social and cultural needs of all students regardless of creed, race and socio-economic status. It offers complete preschool, elementary and secondary courses. It believes that in the eyes every school child lies the destiny of the future. Hence, he/she should be respected, understood and above all, nurtured and loved. In a nutshell, Saint Clare College of Region 02 is affected by the vision of the child growing in his true nature the wonderful child, the happy child, the infancy of humanity where the mystery of life lies. It advocates a style of education that permits the child to set his mind, to attain self-discipline and learning and enjoy with his simple heart, the fruits of his toil. This education is anchored to the philosophy of Kant, "Education is a perfect art because it develops a child to unfold into a whole man." As a non-stock corporation, it is governed by the Board of Trustees with the following Vision, Mission and Philosophy.
