DAY 1
LPO Carmona Repetitive Legal Imagery Training
On January 11th 2014, LPO Carmona conducted the first training day. There were 4 participants, Leonard Kavanagh, Maricel Kavanagh, Anna Mendoza and Cherry Yumang. There were two training assistants, Jennifer Pinnock and Sharon Rosete. There was one main trainer, Theodore Pinnock. The training proceeded as follows:
1. All the people involved introduced themselves.
2. The main trainer explained the purpose of the training and explained a little bit about the LPO industry. The main trainer emphasized that most LPOs fail because they can't deliver a quality service. The whole purpose of the whole training is to make sure that LPO Carmona provides quality services.
3. Sharon handed out the LPO Carmona vocabulary outline. The vocabulary outline contained all of the keywords for LPO ethics, substantive laws and procedural rules. The outline deliberately omitted the explanation for the terms.
4. The main trainer asked each participant to associate the first word that came to their mind when reading the keywords regarding ethics. There were 16 key words.
5. Next participants were asked to share their word associations with the group.
6. Next participants were asked to imagine their childhood home and were asked to divide the home's bathroom into 16 areas.
7. Next participants were asked to create an image for each area with a keyword.
8. Next participants were divided into 3 workgroups. The first group exercise was to repeat the image associations three times. The next exercise was to silently repeat the areas in their minds - in order for 10 minutes; in reverse order for 10 minutes; starting at number 8 then going up and down for 10 minutes.
9. Next the main trainer explained easy each of the keywords and gave examples of their application. Participants were allowed to ask questions.
10. The reward game: the main trainer decided 3 participants would compete in a game for 500 pesos. Maricel Kavanagh, Anna Mendoza and Cherry Yumang were the contestants. The contestants were allowed to study before the game started. Jennifer Pinnock was the game show host. The first part of the game, each contestant was given a number and was asked the keyword for the number. They had 5 seconds to answer. The next level, each contestant was required to enumerate the keywords in order within 20 seconds. The final level, each contestant was required to enumerate the keywords in reverse order for 30 seconds. Cherry Yumang won the game.
The result:
Within 5 hours, each participant learned complex legal terms easily without stress. Some participants were not able to repeat the keywords in order but when asked about the keywords, they can give a correct response. Each participant had fun and they did not appear to be tired.
