CALAX GOVERNORโS DRIVE INTERCHANGE
The CaviteโLaguna Expressway (CALAX) Subsection 3 has been completed and may open before Holy Week. Spanning approximately 7.91 kilometers, this segment connects the Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange to the Governorโs Drive Interchange. It is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion along Governorโs Drive and Aguinaldo Highway, while providing more convenient access for travelers to and from Silang, Tagaytay, and nearby weekend destinations in Laguna.
This milestone marks a critical step toward realizing the full potential of CALAX, as the remaining subsections near completion. The forthcoming interchanges in Open Canal and Kawit, along with an additional interchange in Riverpark South, will further enhance connectivity, particularly once the expressway links to CAVITEX via the CAVITEXโCALAX Link (CCLink).
Once fully operational, CALAX is expected to substantially reduce travel time, boost local economic growth, and improve overall accessibility across Southern Luzon. Ultimately, it will reinforce Caviteโs role as a key economic powerhouse in the country.
