SPECIAL RESIDENT RETIREE’S VISA (SRRV): FULL GUIDE FOR FOREIGN RETIREES IN THE PHILIPPINES
The Philippines offers a long-term retirement visa program known as the Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV), allowing eligible foreign nationals and former Filipinos to stay in the country indefinitely with multiple-entry and exit privileges.
The SRRV is issued by the Philippine Bureau of Immigration through the Philippine Retirement Authority and is designed to encourage retirees to live, invest, study, or work in the Philippines.

SRRV CLASSIC

The SRRV Classic allows retirees to use their visa deposit for approved investments in the Philippines.

• USD 15,000 deposit
• Must show lifetime pension:
- USD 800/month (single)
- USD 1,000/month (with dependents)

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

⚠️ All foreign-issued documents must:
• Be translated into English (if needed)
• Be Apostilled or authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate
⚠️ Tourist visa must remain valid during SRRV processing.
⚠️ Spouse and children may be added later even after SRRV approval.
