2024 ends and 2025 begins with a New Moon on the horizon. It’s the perfect time for one to align oneself, give out intentions, make wishes, and set plans in motion. A timely and serendipitous tabula rasa.

I began 2024 preparing to achieve my dream and end it having reached it. I will start 2025 living that dream—in a new place, a new environment. A literal clean slate. It’s not a fresh start but a continuity of a wheel set in motion—favored by Fate and Fortune. The apotheosis of Dennis B. Flores.

2024 is the prologue and 2025 is but the first chapter to this new novel that is my life. There will be recurring characters, surely, but I’m excited to know new characters that will propel my hero’s journey to new heights, to new adventures. What milestones will be achieved this time? What struggles will be endured? What pangs and pains will be experienced? What treasures will be discovered at the end of the journey?

As we usher in the New Year under the shadow of the moon, let us remind one another to give ourselves a new chance—in living, in loving, and in laughing.

I have to admit, as this highly challenging year comes to a close, I am content. I feel like there’s nothing else for me to do but to live, love, and laugh. For the first time in my life, I am not sure what’s next for me. So for 2025, I am finally allowing myself to let loose and let Fate and Fortune do what they will, with the Supreme Being and the Universe guiding me. I will finally give myself a pat on the back, relax, and take things slow.

And maybe you should too.

Wishing for everyone’s tabula rasa to be etched with wonderful writings. Thank you, 2024!

Went to the Supreme Court two weeks ago to purchase copies of the Supreme Court Stylebook.

The SC Stylebook is a great help for old and new lawyers in drafting their pleadings and other legal documents. The book has tips on legal research and writing and also contains illustration guides that can aid to simplify grammar and language usage to deliver clearer and better arguments and narration. It is also an excellent reference material for instructors of Legal Writing and Research.

You can purchase your First Edition copies at the SC Library. The Court sells hardbound prints for ₱500.00 and paperback prints for ₱300.00.
