I PROMISED NOT TO TALK ABOUT POLITICS ANYMORE.. RECENT TIDE OF EVENTS MADE ME TURN AWAY FROM THAT PROMISE...

We stand today not merely in sorrow, but in righteous fury at the catastrophic and avoidable loss of life caused by the recent floods. This tragedy is not a natural disaster; rather, it is a man - made atrocity - a direct and damning consequence of massive and unchecked government corruption.

Let me be unequivocally clear: THE BLOOD OF THE INNOCENTS ARE ON THE HANDS OF THOSE WHO GOVERN THEM. For too long, our people have suffered under a system where necessary infrastructure funds - money meant for sturdy flood control, proper drainage and timely maintenance - are instead treated as personal piggy banks by corrupt officials. Every collapsed d**e, every submerged community, every unnecessary death is a monument to stolen funds and abandoned duty.

I reject the pathetic excuses and the hollow promises of investigation because I know the truth. The failure of the system is a success of the syndicate masquerading as public servants. The gross negligence, the substandard construction and the willful disregard of regulatory standards are not accidents, they are the predictable and inevitable results of a culture where corruption is the operational blueprint.

We should demand immediate, verifiable accountability. Every public official, every contractor, and every individual who profited while sacrificing the safety of the Filipino people must be brought to justice. Their wealth, accumulated through betrayal must be seized and they must face the full force of the law for their treasonous malfeasance.

The time for polite outrage is over. This is a call powered by grief and rage. We should not allow the memories of those lost to be buried under the water of governmental deception.

We should demand justice..we should demand reform.. we should demand an end to this lethal corruption. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Straight from Manila and guess what? I totally forgot my barong for the court hearing today. Crisis averted, thanks to my amazing nanay who came through with my late tatay's polo barong. It fits perfectly.

Wearing it today felt like getting a hug and a little nudge of good luck from him. Went to visit him at the cemetery afterward.. Seriously this man still comes through for me - still saving my butt even until now. I love you tay.

Every time I travel, the biggest souvenir I bring home is envy. Envy for the countries that aren't paralyzed by massive corruption. I am always reminded of how beautiful and capable our country is, and then I see the realities built by massive corruption and my heart just sinks. The envy for the countries where public trust isn't constantly betrayed is heavy. We deserve better, our potential as a nation is being stolen. We are being held back and it's frustrating beyond words...
