Just like the Lincoln Lawyer, another win to celebrate. 👩‍⚖️⚖️

Although this decision came out a month ago, it was only today that I decided to share my achievement through this page.

When the decision came out, my client cried on my shoulder. Why? If not for this acquittal, then he would have faced a penalty of twelve (12) years imprisonment.

"Wala nabayaran ang THIRTY-THREE MILLION (P 33,000,000.00) nga utang? Gi resolba ni Atty. Maiko Jay Llido"

Last June 19-30, aktwal nga miadto si Atty. Llido sa balay sa usa ka public figure (debtor) para pormal nga i settle ug sabutan ang unsettled debt ni-ini. pabor sa iyang kliyente (creditor).

(Last June 19-30, Atty. Llido personally went to the house of the debtor to settle and resolve the debt in favor of his client-creditor.)

Using his negotiation skills, Atty. Maiko Jay Llido was able to deal a whooping THIRTY-THREE MILLION (P 33,000,000.00) of settlement in favor of his client. On top of that, Atty. Llido also managed to deal with the debtor to execute a deed of sale of a commercial land area in favor of his client.

Just yesterday, Atty. Llido successfully got an order from the Court to have the judgment of small claims be executed in his client's favor. The total amount of t he judgment claim was NINE HUNDRED SIXTY-SIX THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY-TWO PESOS (P 966,872.00) with interest of six percent (6%) per annum to be reckoned from the date of judgment.

This is a reminder that with enough skills, knowledge, and preparation, God will send an instrument-lawyer that will settle even the most impossible of things: such as non-payment of millions of debts by debtors.

Today, I received a very good news from my client that I believe was wrongly accused. The good news? His case was successfully dismissed by MTCC Branch 3 for insufficiency of evidence and I want to share this celebration to everyone!

Epekto sa dismissal? Naa na syay freedom!

On or around January 2025, I can still remember the first time that my client approached me, nangita siya ug defense lawyer or abogado nga kabalo sa Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) related nga mga kaso sama sa iyang gina-atubang.

Upon reading the complaint, my initial thought was to give up tungod sa kalisod. But when I learned that my client was innocent, dili pwedi mag give-up. I have to find ways para ma dismiss ang kaso against him. Wala na gani ko nanagayo ug dako nga bayrunon sa iyaha kay lima (5) nalang ka adlaw ang nabilin para mag file siya ug urgent nga i file kini ug di ko gusto na akong kliyente walay abogado na mo representa sa iyaha.

Through the guidance of our Lord Almighty God, my client got the justice that he deserved long ago. Karon, malaya ug wala na siya naguol sa kaso nga gi file sa iyaha.

May this be a lesson that in every trial, there will be an instrument provided by God to solve your problems.

"Dili sayon nga mahimong akusado ang usa ka inosente nga tao. Mao nang naa kami na nga mga abogado para mag depensa ka ninyo."

I am happy to share this very old complex case that our Law Office received last year. This case started around year 2003 in the Honorable Court of Sandiganbayan but the case took a decade for the wheels of justice to turn. Upon receiving the case, it merely took us a year for the case's dismissal and lifting of hold departure order.

Sa binisaya pa, ang mga akusado nga dili makagawas sa laing nasud tungod kay naay hold departure order sa airport, karon gaan na sa ilang kasing-kasing na makagawas ug maka abroad.

Dili sayon ang Sandiganbayan case especially nga most of these cases involve public funds, public employees, ug pagka-priso nga silot nga muabot ug 12 years.

Apan pina-agi sa pag ampo ug giya sa Ginoo, ang hustisya atong makab-ot sa madali man o sa madugay na panahon.

On May 19, 2025, the freedom to travel within and outside the Philippines has been granted to the accused individuals.

Wala mubayad sa utang unya wala kay kwarta para maka file as korte ug makuha nimo balik ang gi-utang na kwarta?

Today, I was able to assist an indigent in preparing and filing a small claims case aron matabangan siya na makuha balik ang gi utang sa iyaha nga 10,000 pesos.

These small pro bono (free legal service) cases of mine remains unheard in social media but I have been doing these for the past years of being a lawyer. Pero dili kailangan nga i post gyud nato ug ipasikat atong binuhatan sa atong katilingban, labaw na kung gikan sa kasing kasing atong binuhatan.

Some of my free legal services were also offered recently to several individuals during our Provincial Free Legal Services Aid in Agusan del Sur on March 21, 2025 in Brgy. Bucac, Bayugan City.

In God's will, I will be able to provide free lecture on small claims para tanan nagpa-utang kabalo na maka-sukot sa mga nangutang pina-agi sa korte nga walay kailangan na mubayad sa abogado.
