Tungod sa pagkaguba sa 130 meters nga Main Canal sa NIA Balingasag River Irrigation System adtong niaging bulana, ang buhatan sa National Irrigation Administration -LAMISCA IMO nga gipangulohan sa atong Division Manager Engr. Elpidio D. Lucernas, Jr., Satellite Head Engr. Sofronio B. Deligero nangita ug pamaagi arun masuportahan ang atong mga mag uuma, hilabina nga ang ilang humay naa pa sa vegetative stage. Ato usab pasalamatan ang tag iya sa yuta nga wala nagduha2 ug paghatag ug pagtugot nga muagi kining temporaryong canal arun masalbar ang kadaghanang mag uuma.

Ato usab pasalamatan ang tag iya sa yuta Ms. Lydia Da-ao nga wala nagduha2 ug paghatag ug pagtugot nga muagi kining temporaryong canal arun masalbar ang kadaghanang mag uuma.

September 22, 2022. The Asian Development Bank headed by the Japanese consultants Ms. Junko Sagara, Mr. Shin Takano, NIRAS Consultants Engr. Clovis Ike Payumo and Mr. Mario Catubay, visited the Balingasag River Irrigation System to conduct the "Fact finding Mission under Mindanao Irrigation Development Project."

The activity was focused on field visits where the major work items is located and interviewed affected farmer/landowner on their importance and roles for the upcoming realization of the project and how it may impact their daily lives.

Successful field visits were attended by the Department of Agriculture (DA), Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), Local Government Unit, Balingasag and Lagonglong, with the guidance of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) with the full support of NIA staff and personnel headed by LAMISCA IMO Manager Engr. Elpidio D. Lucernas,Jr. and Satellite Head of Misamis Oriental, Camiguin and Balingasag, Engr. Sofronio B. Deligero.
