LOOK | Free medical consultations, diagnostic examinations, laboratory services, and medicines were brought closer to residents of Poblacion, Natonin and Pingad, Sabangan, Mountain Province through a two-day medical and outreach mission conducted by CFB Marketing and General Merchandise on May 23 and 24, 2026.

Residents availed free medical consultations, medicines, and laboratory examinations including blood sugar testing, cholesterol screening, uric acid testing, HbA1c, complete blood count (CBC), urinalysis, and blood typing. Additional healthcare services such as ECG, X-ray, ultrasound, dental consultation, and vision screening were also provided during the two-day activity.

The conduct of the healthcare mission was made possible through the support and collaboration of CFB Drug Inc., CFB RxHealth Pharma & Medical Supplies, St. Aloysius Drug Testing Laboratory, TRES, Optique Master, PHILHELMS Inc., LGU-Natonin, LGU-Sabangan, PNP, BFP, San Roque Catholic Mission, St. Mary of Purification Church, and volunteers from different sectors.

The activity was conducted as part of the celebration of the 29th anniversary of CFB Marketing and General Merchandise and aimed to bring accessible healthcare services directly to communities where residents often face geographical and financial challenges in obtaining proper medical care and laboratory assistance.

A Deed of Donation was signed today, April 17, for a property of over two hectares in Balidbid, Santa Fe, Bantayan, Cebu, in support of UP Cebu’s planned campus extension in Bantayan Island.

The property was donated by the Holaysan family, namely Hem-Hem Tan Holaysan, Paul Tan Holaysan, Christine Cheng Holaysan, and Janeth Tan Holaysan, reflecting their support for expanding access to public higher education in northern Cebu.

Present during the signing were Chief Legal Officer Atty. Leo Bono, Office of the Campus Architect Head Assoc. Prof. Hazel Trapero, and Architect Ryan Anthony Genobiagon, together with representatives from UP Cebu and the donor family.

The donation builds on the Memorandum of Agreement signed on December 7, 2023, between UP Cebu and the Municipality of Santa Fe for the Bantayan campus initiative.

The proposed campus is envisioned to serve students from Santa Fe, Bantayan, Madridejos, and nearby islands by bringing UP education closer to their communities. With programs situated within the island, students may pursue their studies without the added cost of relocating while remaining connected to their families and local responsibilities.

UP Cebu extends its gratitude to the Holaysan family for their generosity and support in advancing accessible education in the region. The Deed of Donation marks another step in ongoing efforts to extend its academic and public service functions to communities in Bantayan Island.
