The National Government informs that through Law 446 of October 28, 2024, a tax moratorium was approved that allows taxpayers, both individuals and legal entities, to settle their tax debts with the General Revenue Directorate (DGI), without having to pay interest or surcharges. This measure seeks to facilitate the regularization of outstanding tax obligations, while contributing to improve the country's tax collection, to finance investment projects and social works of the State.
The moratorium will be in force until December 31, 2024, giving taxpayers in arrears the opportunity to cancel the nominal balance of their debts. Among the taxes included in this benefit are: income tax; real estate tax; operation notice tax; Tax on the transfer of movable property and rendering of services (ITBMS); selective consumption tax (ISC); the single tax for legal entities; and, only the fines related to the rehabilitation of such tax.
