🚨 Legal update!
The Cabinet Council of Panama has taken a decisive step toward modernizing our commercial framework.
Through Cabinet Resolution No. 18 of March 24, 2026, the Minister of Economy and Finance is now formally authorized to propose a bill to the National Assembly to modify and repeal articles of Law 32 of 1927 on Public Limited Companies. 🇵🇦
Why is this movement so relevant? 🧐
For nearly a century, Law 32 of 1927 has served as the cornerstone of Panama's competitiveness. However, the demands of today's globalized market and international transparency standards require us to evolve for the 21st century. ⚖️
Key highlights of the Resolution:
➡️ Executive Authorization: The Ministry of Economy and Finance is officially empowered to lead this legislative initiative before the Assembly. 🚀
➡️ Reach: The project includes a thorough review, contemplating both modifications and the repeal of outdated articles. 🔍
➡️ Constitutional Basis: The measure is firmly grounded in Article 165 of the Political Constitution, ensuring full legal due process. ⚖️
