After 29 incredible years, we are saying a very bittersweet farewell to our wonderful Christine Bunting, who is retiring.

Christine has been the backbone of so much of what we do here. As our WP Operator and Deeds Clerk, she has given nearly three decades of dedication, expertise, and unwavering support to the firm and to every single person in it.

There is no project too big, no task too daunting, and no colleague who hasn't benefited from Christine's willingness to roll up her sleeves and get it done. She goes above and beyond every single time, without hesitation.

Christine, you will leave an enormous gap in our team. We wish you the most wonderful retirement.

Earlier this season, the Craighead 1st XI Hockey Team headed to Whangārei for the National Secondary Schools Hockey Tournament, and we couldn't be prouder to have been on the jersey.

We are thrilled to sponsor the team this season, and what an incredible achievement to compete at a national level.
The First XI finished 8th in the Marie Fry Trophy and 24th overall, with their final game going all the way to a shootout. So close! Well done to the whole squad.

A warm welcome to James Steele, who joined our team this week as a Solicitor in our Property and Commercial team.

Originally from the United States, James began practising law in 2007 and brings a wealth of experience to the team, including being licensed to practise law in North Carolina, New York, and Virginia, as well as here in New Zealand.

Outside of work, James enjoys running, tramping, and spending time at home with his wife and four children. He's also working on his software programming and mandolin skills (by his own admission, there's still plenty to learn on both fronts).

We are so glad to have you with us, James — welcome to the team.
