Look closely. This is where the savings come from. The NEW FlailDek S4 runs a double helical rotor. The flails sit in opposing helixes, so they enter the cut progressively rather than all at once.

That means around 10% less power drawn from the tractor, which shows up directly in fuel. It also runs quieter, which matters on parks, verges and built-up areas, and holds a more consistent finish right across the deck.

Same job, less fuel, less noise, lower cost of ownership.

25 Years of Pegasus, Story 5: A 12-year-old Pegasus that, at its peak, was out cutting 12 to 13 hours a day, four days a week.

That's the machine belonging to Gareth of Lakeside Landscapes in the United Kingdom.

In his words:
"We've been using Trimax since 2004, first a Stealth, and then as our business expanded we added the Pegasus to our fleet in October 2014. We quickly put it to work the following cutting season, taking on a demanding workload across schools, parks and sports fields. At its peak, the Pegasus was out cutting for 12 to 13 hours a day, four days a week. It has been such a reliable machine that I credit the Pegasus with playing a key role in helping us grow the business, and, to be honest, I'm now reluctant to part with it!"

Gareth has since added 3 more Pegasus mowers, the latest being the S5. The S3 is now semi-retired, mainly cutting cricket outfields, and he says it "remains as reliable as the day we purchased it, with all of its original parts still in place, apart from routine replacement items such as the blades, belts, and bearings."

We've made it better! The NEW FlailDek S4 - fine mowing, heavy growth, and NOW scarifying, all from a single out-front flail mower.

We've reduced the cost of owning one, too. Sealed, maintenance-free roller bearings mean no greasing across the working life of the deck, and the double helical rotor asks less power from the tractor. This further reduces the cost of ownership through lowered fuel usage to do the same jobs.

Our sales rep Darren, alongside the team from BA Marlborough, took a newly released Force S2 demo unit, fitted with pruning rakes, to a New Zealand vineyard to compare against the customer's current viticulture mulcher.

The feedback: it mulched very well, ran smoother, was quieter, and needed significantly less maintenance than what they were running.
