Sometimes you want to shout from the roof tops how amazing is the team Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC….
So here it is … stats …yep …these are real .. everyday, helping now over #60 service organisations 🙌❤️🤩

💙 BCC SEPTEMBER 2026 STATS 🦋

What an incredible month! 💙 September has been another month of sharing, caring, and giving items a new home, making a real difference for people and our planet.

📊 Here’s how September compared with August:

📦 568 boxes distributed, up from 370 in August! That’s an increase of 198 boxes (54% more).

🛍️ 185 bags distributed, helping more essential items reach the people who need them.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 475 people supported, up from 456 in August, reaching 19 more people.

💙 221 requests received while our impact continued to grow.

🤝 64 service organisations supported, up from 61 in August. Thank you to the organisations working alongside us to support our community.

♻️ 21,469 items given a new home, an amazing increase of 3,815 items compared with August’s 17,654!

🌍 4,945 kg distributed in September, averaging approximately 165 kg of goods every day being kept in use and out of landfill.

Every number tells a story of generosity, connection, and practical support. Even with fewer requests overall, we distributed more boxes, supported more people and service organisations, and gave thousands more items a new home.

A huge THANK YOU to our volunteers, donors, service organisations, and everyone who makes this possible. Your kindness keeps resources circulating and helps create a stronger, more caring community. 💙🦋

Ok I did it … Even an ole gal can donate blood to help someone else …?
Why have I left it so long :-
1. I don’t like blood
2. I don’t like vomit - yep I’m your girl who would go out in sympathy or pass out.
So could I do this … well thanks Paul (spider) I did it because of your generous monetary donation to our charity! 🙏Thank you for believing in Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC.

Today however the question is would you do this again - for NZ Blood 🩸 Manawatu … my answer yes , see you again in 3 months 🙌😍❤️ Staff were amazing, it didn’t hurt, and I now know it helps many others ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

❤️🦋 TEAM RED BCC — GIVING BACK IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE! 🩸❤️

Today, our amazing Butterfly Compassion Community team swapped their usual BCC activities for something a little different, rolling up their sleeves and donating blood! 🩸❤️

At BCC, compassion is at the heart of everything we do, and today our team showed that caring for our community can happen in so many different ways. 🫶

A huge shout-out to our incredible Team Red for taking the time to give the gift of life. Every donation has the potential to save lives, and we’re so proud of our team for stepping up and making a difference! ❤️🦋

Another week that has seen many peeps come thru Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC doors to meet me and discuss how can we collaborate together, in the community for the community 🙌

Some words:…

We truly are grateful to MASH Trust team members who met and said “theirs real merit in what you do “- we must link together more 😍, this past week alone another four we have met 😍

Our amazing Rebus friends have been dropping off great amounts of donations 😍

Saturday a couple passed by dropped off more donations strollers, portacot 😍

Then a young person walking down the street stopped me before I walked into BCC- I’ve donated a few of my transformers here , here’s a car it was just sitting in my room and I thought someone else may enjoy it 🙌😘🥰😍❤️♻️

Yep that’s the real difference of the week - thank you Mr teenager - we appreciate you ❤️

This week connecting with business opportunities and also other charity groups supporting housing in the community :-but more importantly basic needs of warmth …

From couch surfing, transitional , flats, pars and so much more…

Our friends Ministry of Social Development NZ, have also been keen to see our sleepsacs and two days of clothing and hygiene packs to support our most vulnerable 😍

Tonight we heard from our friends at Rotary Palmerston North, an awesome group I showcased our sleepsac, both indoor and outdoor versions, created from textile waste as our prototype about 5 weeks or so ago ♻️😍

They have just sponsored three outdoor sleepsacs and yes our team Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC will also provide one = 4 sleepsacs getting ready to go out into the community for our vulnerable who most need them.

From Norelle , to our new friends at Palmerston North Rotary :- you all do such an amazing job , we know these will make a huge difference 🙏

To our crafting team who have perfected, changed up, reviewed and trialled variations of original work completed by Ann, we thank each of you it truly has evolved to become a great option for warmth no matter the weather in care and comfort ❤️

At BCC we believe being warm is a basic essential and need that everyone deserves:- creating from textile waste has been a huge success 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Today I had some fantastic news … quick story 😘:-
During a meeting our colleague Lisa interrupts and says Trina I need you to see this man urgently…
Downstairs I meet a gentleman- Colin…
Can I offer $1k towards Xmas gifts for those that need them most …yes my heart flipped and I said WOW this is huge … then he says my boss Anna has said they will match my donation … yep ❤️true ..
So I am popping to meet them at their work place - and will share how this amazing generous person and his boss and company are getting behind Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC for Xmas - after I visit and chat Monday with their team 😘…

To know Colin has thought thru the process of gifting and ages etc is so awesome and I can’t wait to discuss our 60 service organisations how they seek our assistance for Xmas 🎅 …

Community collaboration… easy to say… do we do …and does it work ?!

This week we have had a number of charity and community organisations together with a couple of business organisations reach out to us Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC

Firstly - acknowledge the positive work we do in the community for the community …..

Secondly - how can we collaborate further together making a difference locally and regionally thru MOU …..

Thirdly - business peeps understanding that working with charities that align with their values is a win- win in community-business link …together we are better and do make a difference !……

Privileged and truly grateful of the near 300% growth in past 12 months:- our goal is to continue to make a difference daily, locally and regionally in our sustainability field and sensory areas 🙌♻️❤️

Real stories-Real care-Real compassion

This week my heart is leading from the front :- as I believe yours would too:

A service organisation has reached out to us to see if we could assist them ,
A family they are working with, a young boy is to turn 9yr old- and anything would be appreciated!
It will be his birthday present … we asked what is his interest - Spider-Man

Yep you got it … our team Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC , then searched thru clothes, items from our shop and everywhere to see what we can find … and just maybe we might pop to shop to purchase a Spider-Man item -

We are community for community, and yes our donators you help us in our local community every day bring joy 🤩

This time a number of us are planning to make age 9 - just a wee bit special 😘
