Did you know the name Pūkaha translates to "windy mountain"? It's a fitting name for a place shaped by the elements, and well worth a visit if you haven't been recently.

Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre is a 942-hectare unfenced forest sanctuary and breeding facility dedicated to protecting some of New Zealand's rarest native species. Visitors can also see brown kiwi in the nocturnal house, along with takahē, kākā, whio, pāteke and even tuatara.

Pukaha is located on State Highway 2 approximately an hour’s drive from Palmerston North. Open daily from 9am - 5.00pm.

Our team really got behind Wig Wednesday assisting the Child Cancer Foundation raising much needed funds for cancer research.

The delicious baking was sold off to our team and collectively we raised $2,000.00 for this great cause.

We were so pleased to be part of this fun day.

Thanks to everyone who supported our team.

The team at Innes Dean Lawyers donned wigs of various colours and styles today, taking part in WIG WEDNESDAY to raise funds for the Child Cancer Foundation.

The team also baked their hearts out to create treats for our baking competition, and to sell to each other. A huge thank you to Scott Kennedy of Nero Restaurant Palmerston North, who taste-tested all our creations and judged 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize!

Thank you also to all our clients, who had to put up with their lawyers looking a little less professional, but for a great cause!

The Innes Dean Lawyers team recently enjoyed a few hours
at Studio Rubix competing in a Team Building activity.

The challenge in teams was to prepare a very healthy
three-course lunch that we all got to enjoy – Yum. Points were allocated to each task which included presentation and a knowledge of ingredients.

The winning teams were announced; “Josh & Friends” and “We Tried” both receiving top marks, the overall winner was then decided by a lengthy “Paper Scissors Rock” with Josh & Friends taking away the top prize.

A really valuable session which the whole team really enjoyed.

Innes Dean Lawyers are pleased to welcome Josh Selvakumaran to the team as our newest solicitor.

Josh can help with a wide range of matters, especially anything relating to family trusts. He's also well versed in relationship property, wills, enduring powers of attorney, conveyancing, and even setting up a new charity.

When he isn't at work, he's busy being a millennial dad 👨🏾‍🍼, so there's not much time left for himself.
