Grateful for this article published by Motueka Golden Bay Guardian newspaper this morning, highlighting the People of Motueka Exhibition opening night at the Public Library last Thursday.

What a great turnout and lovely evening celebrating the People who make the Motueka ward so special. The photos submitted were of very high standard, so congratulations to everybody!

Long‑time residents, they craft many of their own accessories and treasure the good finds they discover.

Sarah’s ongoing volunteering work in the community and their shared love of playful costume make them part of the fabric of Motueka, timeless spirits who show up, lift others, and remind us that imagination and handmade creativity keep our community glowing."

The Youngest Member of the Fire Family! 🚒

We are so excited to share with you one of our entries received this month - A big shout out to our Community Groups and Volunteering category and in particular our Motueka Volunteer Fire Brigade leading by example once again! 💪

"The Youngest Member of the Fire family is a photo of Jackson Bell who is the youngest member of the Motueka Fire Brigade. Joined at 16 years old as a recruit he then became a full firefighter in only nine months. This photo was taken during the Probus visit at the Motueka fire brigade in July about fire safety."
