Moss & Mould & Lichen treatment services.

🌿 Commercial moss, mould & lichen treatment underway! 🌿

An early start for the crew this morning, treating a large commercial roof here in Hawke's Bay. With our boom lift, we can safely reach big commercial buildings, high roofs and hard-to-access areas, with minimal disruption to your business.

Hawke's Bay's warm, sunny days, damp winters and coastal air make it ideal for moss, mould and lichen to take hold. Left untreated, they hold moisture against your roof and surfaces and shorten their life. We're proud to look after homes and businesses right across the Bay, from Napier and Hastings to Havelock North, Taradale, Clive and beyond.

✅ Moss, mould & lichen removal
✅ Roof treatments, residential & commercial
✅ Decks, concrete & paths
✅ House washing & waterblasting
✅ Gutter cleaning

From family homes to warehouses, schools and commercial sites, no job is too big or too small.

Proudly Hawke's Bay owned & operated 💚

🌿 MOSS TREATMENT DAY 🌿

Moss and lichen might not look like a big deal at first, but left untreated it holds moisture against the roof, breaks down protective coatings, and shortens the life of your roof.

Today’s job: a full moss and lichen treatment on this corrugated iron roof — treating along the ridges and valleys where moss loves to take hold and spread.
Why it matters:

✅ Kills moss and lichen at the root, not just a surface clean
✅ Stops moisture being trapped against the roof sheets
✅ Protects your existing roof coating and extends its life
✅ A simple, affordable way to head off bigger (and pricier) roofing problems down the line

Moss doesn’t go away on its own — it spreads. If you’re seeing green or black build-up creeping across your roof, get it treated before it costs you more.

🏡 Another roof brought back to life!

Before and during: years of moss, mould, and lichen build-up meeting our soft-wash treatment. That white foam you see is our biodegradable treatment breaking down organic growth at the root — not just blasting the surface, but actually killing it so it doesn’t come straight back.

Left untreated, moss and lichen trap moisture, lift roofing screws, and shorten the life of your roof. Our 6-stage treatment process gets ahead of that before it becomes a costly repair.

This Hawke’s Bay roof is a perfect example of a proper long-term moss care plan:

✅ Stage 1 — full moss removal a few years ago
✅ Stage 2 — first follow-up treatment a year later
✅ Stage 2 — just completed again, keeping the roof protected for another 2-3 years

This is how you stay ahead of moss for good — one thorough removal, followed by regular Stage 2 maintenance to stop regrowth before it starts. No more built-up moss, no more blocked gutters, no more shortened tile life.

Low-pressure soft wash. Zero damage to tiles or coatings. Just a roof doing exactly what it should. ☀️

Want your roof on a care plan like this one? Get in touch and we’ll sort a free quote.

☀️ Beautiful day for it! Out in Taradale today giving this roof some much-needed love with our moss and lichen treatment. 🏡

Moss might look harmless, but left untreated it holds moisture against your tiles, causes premature wear, and can lead to costly repairs down the track. Our treatment kills it at the root and helps protect your roof for years to come.

If your roof is looking a bit green and grubby like this one was, get in touch for a free inspection! 👇

☀️ FINALLY, SOME SUN IN HAWKE’S BAY!

After weeks of wet weather, the sun is out and The Moss Crew team is back doing what we do best! 🏠✨

Swipe through and you’ll see exactly why regular roof care matters — grass and weeds taking root in gutters, moss and lichen creeping across the iron, and the difference our treatment makes once we get to work.

Left untreated, this stuff doesn’t just look bad — it holds moisture, blocks your gutters, and shortens the life of your roof.

If your place is looking like this, now’s the time to sort it before it gets worse.

Sunday grind never stops 💪🌿

Ignore the fuel prices in the pic, that’s between you and Trump 🇺🇸⛽ — we just clean roofs, we don’t run the petrol pumps… yet 👀

Big commercial job underway today at BP Millward Motors, Havelock North! Our team’s up on the canopy giving the roof a proper chemical wash and moss treatment — turns out moss doesn’t care about inflation either, it just keeps showing up uninvited 🌿😤

Cones out, hi-vis on, hoses blasting — Sunday’s looking productive over here.
