A big congratulations to our Managing Partner, Sarah, who has been named a finalist for the Outstanding Leadership Award at the 2026 Central Property People Awards.

Weโ€™re pretty proud of this one.

Sarah leads Harkness Henry with a focus on our people, our clients and the relationships that sit at the heart of our business. She brings a thoughtful, genuine approach to leadership and is always looking for ways to support our team and move the firm forward.

Itโ€™s great to see that leadership recognised alongside some of the regionโ€™s outstanding people in the property sector.

Congratulations Sarah! We are right behind you.

Congratulations to The Honourable Christine Grice on her reappointment to the High Court.

Justice Grice has returned to the High Court to rehear specific proceedings under the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Act 2011, over which she previously presided.

Before joining the bench, Justice Grice was a partner at Harkness Henry. She went on to serve on the High Court of the Cook Islands and the High Court of New Zealand.

Her contribution to the law in Aotearoa was recognised in 2004 when she was appointed a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit (CNZM). More recently, on 11 September 2026, she was granted the title โ€˜The Honourableโ€™ for life.

Weโ€™re proud to see a former Harkness Henry partner continuing to make an important contribution to the law in Aotearoa.

Weโ€™re thrilled to celebrate Isabel and Miaโ€™s admission to the bar! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿช…

Both have worked incredibly hard to reach this milestone and can now officially take on the title of Solicitor.

Reflecting on the occasion, Isabel said she feels โ€œrelieved and gratefulโ€, knowing that the years of study and hard work have paid off. She would like to thank her family, friends, and the firm for their support throughout her journey.

Mia shared that while she is relieved to have completed this step, she is especially excited for the future and continuing to learn and grow professionally. She would like to thank the Harkness Henry team, for their continued guidance, mentorship, and support throughout.

Congratulations, Isabel and Mia. We are incredibly proud of you both and look forward to seeing what you achieve in your legal careers.

Our Cambridge Legal Executives on their way to Hamilton for a well deserved lunch with all the HH Legal Exec crew at the amazing Hayes Common right by the Waikato River.

Their hard work deserves a good feed and, naturally, a bit of banter.

Last Friday, we joined the Shaw and Partners New Zealand Cambridge team to support their 9-Hour Corporate Row in support of the Foundation raising awareness and funds for mental fitness and the importance of meaningful connection.

The Cambridge team, with plenty of support from others throughout the day, rowed an impressive 100.1km.

They were also part of a much bigger effort, with Shaw and Partners teams across Auckland, Cambridge, Kerikeri, Wellington, Kapiti Coast and Christchurch collectively rowing an incredible 588.4km.

It was great to get behind such an important cause and support our growing connections in the Cambridge business community.
