Come help us give The White Room a spruce up, we’d love some extra hands.

Never volunteered with us before? No worries!
This is a relaxed no commitment way to come along, meet the team, see what we’re all about and get a feel for volunteering at The White Room.

We have decided to postpone celebrating Lee’s solo exhibition until the sun is shining and the ground is dry (ish). We are hoping it will be next Saturday and will keep everyone updated. Lee has created a beautiful exhibition of his work and has been in the Shed Gallery every day greeting guests and sharing his work, incredible! Looking forward to a proper celebration soon. We had a morning tea to celebrate Kerry's 3rd place in the IHC Art Awards. Remember all the works are for sale on their website, but be quick, as a lot of the works have already sold IHC Art Awards Exhibition 2026

Congratulations Kerry! A wonderful achievement to be awarded third place in the national ihcnewzealand art awards. Kerry canvas work, My Pussycat Mia inspired by his longtime muse Mia shows his clever use of colour and perspective and his love of animals. Well done, Kerry. A huge personal achievement to be recognised nationally for your work.
Thank you ihcnewzealand for your support and for facilitating such a wonderful event.

After postponing the opening event we are excited to celebrate Lee's solo exhibition Underneath The Arches this weekend at the Shed Gallery.

The exhibition is already open to public and Lee will be in the gallery everyday this week so you can visit between 10am - 1pm.
Congratulations Lee Collins your exhibition looks terrific and we look forward to officially celebrating this weekend.

A huge thank you to Lamar Charitable Trust for supporting The White Room with funding for a new SLR camera!

This new camera will help us capture the creativity, growth, and stories that unfold in the studio every day. From works in progress, finished artworks, exhibitions, events, as well as giving artists the opportunity to explore photography as an art form, build new skills, and develop their own photographic practice.
