Corcoran French is pleased to welcome Mathew Munro and Ari Barrow to the Partnership.

Mat joined Corcoran French in 2017, with Ari joining us in 2020. Since then, both have become valued members of our Christchurch Commercial team, working closely with clients and colleagues and making an important contribution to the firm.

Their experience, commitment and hard work have been recognised with their appointment to the Partnership, and we’re delighted to have them take this next step with Corcoran French.

Congrats, Mat and Ari!

What a day, and what a result!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Corcoran French Golf Day, and to all of our sponsors, prize sponsors, supporters and participants who helped make the day such a success.

We’re incredibly proud to announce that together, we raised $29,852 for Ronald McDonald House South Island.

A very special thank you to Dan and Natasha Chima from Southern Specialist Cars who generously contributed an additional $20,000 directly towards sponsoring a room at Ronald McDonald House. This incredible contribution will help provide a home away from home for families who need it most.

We couldn’t have achieved this without the generosity of everyone who supported the day - from our sponsors, to those who participated, donated and dug deep during the auctions and fundraising activities.

A massive thank you to:

Golf Day is this Friday!

We’re looking forward to welcoming our players, sponsors and supporters to the 2026 Corcoran French Golf Day, raising funds for Ronald McDonald House South Island.

Corcoran French has proudly supported Ronald McDonald House since 2015, and we’re pleased to continue that support through this year’s Golf Day. Their work provides a home away from home for families while their children receive medical treatment away from home, helping families stay together during what can be an incredibly difficult time.

Every dollar raised through our 2026 Golf Day will go towards supporting the important work Ronald McDonald House does for families across New Zealand.

A huge thank you to all of our sponsors, players and supporters for getting behind the day. We’re looking forward to a great day on the course and raising as much as we can for a cause we’re proud to support.

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou — changes at our Rangitāne commercial board table 🌿

As of 31 August 2026, Leigh MacDonald and Haysley MacDonald concluded their terms as Directors of Rangitāne Holdings Limited and Rangitāne Investments Limited, having both served nine years supporting our commercial aspirations.

Leigh served as Board Chair from 2019, guiding RHL/RIL through a significant period of growth and change with humility and wisdom.

To Leigh and Haysley — thank you both for your service, your contribution, and your commitment to our people. Your service as Directors since 2017 is much appreciated and our results are a testament to your resolve. Ngā mihi nui ki a kōrua.

We are also pleased to confirm the appointment of Leighton Evans as Board Chair of RHL/RIL. Leighton has served as a Director of RHL/RIL since 2022 and brings extensive executive and governance experience, working with large, diversified investment portfolios. His appointment provides valuable continuity and clarity as the Board moves through this period of transition.

Appointed as Independent Directors with effect from 1 September 2026 are:

āž”ļø Jhonte McFadyen-MacDonald (Rangitāne o Wairau), a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in finance, investment analysis and strategic planning. Jhonte has served as Independent Chair of our Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee since 2018.

āž”ļø Michael Bendall (Ngāti Porou), a commercial law partner based in Ōtautahi with experience across commercial and community organisations, and a strong grounding in te ao Māori.

Appointed as Trust Representatives to the RHL/RIL Board are Keelan Walker and Calvin Hart.

An amazing outcome for St Thomas of Canterbury College, with the school now set to remain an important part of Christchurch with the Catholic Bishop of Christchurch to take over as proprietor.

We’re proud to have been involved in helping navigate this matter and, most importantly, achieving a positive result for the College.

A big thank you to our team, Mark Henderson, Virginia Nichols and Grace Aislabie for your hard work and commitment throughout the matter, and also a big thank you to our counsel, Jeremy Johnson.

It’s always rewarding to see the work we do contribute to outcomes that have a meaningful impact on our community.
