Meet one of the charities taking the stage at 10×10 Queenstown

— Pivotal Point Charitable Trust.

Think Dragons' Den — but with heart. Three charities. One room. The community decides where the funding goes. On the night, Pivotal Point will take the stage, share their story, and make their case.

Pivotal Point's vision is simple but powerful: every child should be able to access the help they need to reach their full potential at school — without finances getting in the way.

Come hear their story — and be part of the decision.

Also pitching on the night:
• Trauma Aid Aotearoa
• Women's Shed Aotearoa

Tickets are limited — secure yours now with a $100 donation and be part of a night of real, community-led giving.

Today marks World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
It’s a moment to recognise a reality that often goes unseen: the growing incidence of elder abuse—particularly financial abuse—across our communities.

In New Zealand, more families are facing situations where trust is compromised, whether through pressure within close relationships or increasingly sophisticated scams.

At Perpetual Guardian, we believe that true protection goes beyond good intentions.
It requires structure, transparency, and independence.
Tools such as an Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA) can play a vital role in safeguarding individuals—but they also carry significant responsibility. Choosing the right person or independent professional to act on your behalf can make all the difference.

Today is a reminder to:
✔ Start open conversations with loved ones
✔ Plan ahead
✔ Seek trusted, professional support when needed
Let’s work together to protect the dignity, independence, and wellbeing of older New Zealanders.

Recent media coverage has sparked an important conversation around charitable donation tax credits following Budget 2026.

Our Founder, Andrew Barnes, recently shared his perspective in interviews with NZ Herald and Newstalk ZB, highlighting the potential implications for New Zealand’s charitable sector.

At Perpetual Guardian, we believe this is an important discussion for the future of philanthropy and one we will continue to support and contribute to.
