It’s been a very busy few weeks across the Waikato, with a number of service bull sales delivering some great results. Here’s a look at the final results from the 2026 Waikato bull sale season:

21.09.26 – Hillcroft Angus Bull Sale
🏆 Top price yearling: $15,000
🏆 Top price 2-year-old: $13,000
Yearling Angus Bulls averaged $5,163.64.
2-year-old Angus Bulls averaged $5,973.33.

23.09.26 – Bushy Downs Hereford Bull Sale
🏆 Top price yearling: $16,500 (x2)
🏆 Top price 2-year-old: $11,000
Yearling Hereford Bulls averaged $6,720, with 48 of 50 bulls sold.
2-year-old Hereford Bulls averaged $7,027, with 60 of 62 bulls sold.

24.09.26 – Premier Cattle Company Speckle Park & Murray Grey Bull Sale
🏆 Top price yearling Speckle Park: $11,500 (x2)
🏆 Top price yearling Murray Grey: $8,000
Yearling Speckle Park Bulls averaged $5,473, with 100% clearance.
Yearling Murray Grey Bulls averaged $5,633, with 100% clearance.

25.09.26 – Bexley Station Yearling Hereford, Speckle Park & Angus Bull Sale
🏆 Top price: $17,000 for a Stud Hereford Bull
Stud Hereford Bulls averaged $4,608, with 100% clearance.
Commercial Hereford Bulls averaged $3,228, with 100% clearance.
Speckle Park Bulls averaged $3,620, with 100% clearance.
Commercial Angus Bulls averaged $3,646, with 100% clearance.

A new Kubota ready to get to work in Te Anau.

Te Anau Earthworks Limited has taken delivery of a new 38hp Kubota L3800HD, set up with a 4-in-1 loader bucket, third service and industrial tyres.

The new tractor will be put to work across a range of jobs, including work on the local cycle trails.

Thanks to David and the team for choosing Kubota and Carrfields Machinery. We look forward to seeing it out on the job.

A first Kubota for Tradie Toys Equipment Hire. 🍊

Nathan Crang from Tradie Toys Equipment Hire Ltd in Queenstown recently collected his new Kubota U27-4 excavator from our Alexandra branch, complete with an Ifor Williams trailer and attachments.

Canola in flower, with bees making the most of the blooms. Bees are an essential part of hybrid seed production during flowering, helping to produce high-yielding, top-quality seed for our customers.

🐑 Congratulations to the Halcombe School in the Manawatu and to everyone involved in this year's Lamb Fattening Scheme.

What an outstanding result, with the project returning an incredible $17,500 profit for the school.

Carrfields are very proud to have played our part alongside so many generous farmers, volunteers and supporters who help make this annual event happen. A fantastic example of what can be achieved when a rural community gets behind a great cause.

We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Stu Hall as Chief Operating Officer of Carrfields.

The new role adds further leadership capacity as our businesses continue to grow and pursue new opportunities.

Stu Hall brings extensive senior executive and commercial experience, including leadership roles with AgResearch and ANZCO Foods. His initial focus will be supporting our Machinery business, alongside strategic projects and initiatives across the wider Carrfields Group.
