39 already feels different…

Maybe it’s because it’s my last year in my 30s. Maybe it’s Chinese New Year energy. Maybe it’s just God whispering, “Pause… look back… and go forward with intention.”

Either way, today has me reflecting, on the lessons that kept me, corrected me, healed me, and shaped me into who I am now. The older I get, the more I realize: some lessons come like a hug… and some come like a holy interruption. But I’m grateful for all of them.

I put 39 lessons in this carousel, ones I’m carrying into this next season and getting down packed before 40. If you’re in a reflecting season too, save this and come back when you need it.

Feb 1, 2015 still sits in Seahawks history like a “we were right there” moment…And if you’re your a Seahawks fan like me, you’re feeling that redemption energy right now...

Fun fact (and it’s SO protection-coded): Seahawks fans were so loud the NFL literally had to create a crowd-noise rule back in the day.

Translation? When something has real power, the system builds guardrails around it.

And that’s the whole metaphor for me this year:
Your hustle can be the offense… but your legal structure is the 12th man when life tries to blitz you. 🔒

Because listen… you can’t be out here running a beautiful drive and fumble at the 1-yard line over paperwork. i.e. Contracts. Entities. IP. Trust planning.
That’s your goal-line defense. 📝

whew… ten years later, those words hit different.

2016 was one of the most transformative years of my life: TV, big dreams, LA energy, sister-friends, and the beginning of my law firm—plus a whole lot of moments where quitting felt easier than believing. But God.

Because here we are in 2026. Still breathing. Still building. Still being given another chance to do better and do purpose on purpose. And I can’t celebrate the decade without thinking about the ones who didn’t make it with us. I miss Leah. Deeply.

So if you take anything from this “2016 memories” wave, let it be this: don’t take your life for granted—and don’t take your people for granted. Hold close the ones who pray for you, push you, love you, and remind you who you are when you forget.

Thank you, God. Period.

Last night was my 20-year reunion and I’m honestly, still in my feelings. Franklin High, Seattle — Class of 2005. We had big dreams back then… and it’s beautiful realizing how many of them became real.

I can’t believe we’re the grownups now, parents, business owners, top executives… even County Council members. I’m proud of us. 🖤💚

Miami for 12 hours was diabolical… but Two events. One mission: get in the room, catch the gems, and show up for my people. 🌴

Hearing (founder of ) talk about the importance of succession planning? Oh she was speaking MY language. Because success is cute… but what happens after you? 📝

Today was EVERYTHING!

Here’s to Another year around the sun, and babyyyy, I had a TIME!! From London to Paris, Mexico to Anguilla—and oh yeah, I wrote a whole book! God showed OUT this year, and I just pray He’s happy because I promise I showed out just as much as He did!

Every high, every lesson, every blessing—I’m just grateful. Truly.
