It's here again!!!

International Women's Day (IWD) is a global celebration of women's social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. This annual event focuses on the women's rights movement, addressing issues like gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence against women.

Originating in 1911, IWD was inspired by labor movements advocating for women's rights. The United Nations officially recognized March 8th as International Women's Day in 1975, solidifying its global significance.

IWD is celebrated worldwide to honor women's achievements and advocate for gender equality. The 2025 theme, *"For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment"* calls for swift measures to address systemic barriers and biases affecting women. It encourages individuals, communities, and organizations to implement effective strategies promoting women's advancement.

International Women's Day is a call to action for us all to break down barriers and biases holding women back. Let’s honor the progress made and push forward, creating a world where every woman has equal opportunities to succeed. The time to act is now; let's be the change!

It's a New Month!!!

As we step into the new month, remember, not everyone will see your value and potential, so your first port of call for validation is yourself.

Trust in your abilities, believe in your worth and never wait for external approval to chase your dreams.

This month, let your own belief in yourself fuel your journey to success.

Best wishes,

The International Day of Education established by the United Nations General Assembly on January 24, 2018 highlights the vital role of education in fostering peace and development worldwide. Education is a fundamental human right as outlined in Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948), which advocates for free and compulsory elementary education. Additionally, the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989) emphasizes that countries must ensure access to higher education for all.
The theme for the International Day of Education in 2025 is β€œAI and Education: Preserving Human Agency in a World of Automation.” This theme encourages reflection on how education can help individuals and communities understand, adapt to, and influence technological advancements. UNESCO’s Director-General, Audrey Azoulay emphasized that AI presents significant opportunities for education and should complement human and social aspects of learning rather than replace them.
The integration of AI into schools must be guided by ethical principles to ensure it serves the autonomy and well-being of students and teachers and does not violate vital principles and standards.
To fully harness the advantages of AI, it is essential for education leaders and instructors to adopt strategies for regulating its use. Key strategies include creating clear guidelines for AI implementation, promoting digital literacy, fostering a human-centered approach to technology, developing AI ethics frameworks to ensure fairness and accountability, and supporting teacher training and development.
