The disdain majority of Anambra people hold against non-Anambarians is bewildering, to say the least.
This set of b!gotry is prevalent in, Onitsha Anambra. Sometime in 2018, i went to shop at Ochaja Market for new shoes I'll use in law school, as i was bargaining with the seller, the next thing was for him to say "you speak Onitsha very well but, you look like Abakiliki person" his neighbour echoed "Na all these Ebonyi people them born for Onitsha, they speak Onitsha very well" mind you, I'm a full blooded Enugu man, Oji River precisely.
I began to wonder what has my state of origin got to do with what i came to market to do? That was the day i felt what blacks passes through in Europe. The slur was too deep that i felt like disappearing inside the market.
In Onitsha, the use of "Nwa Abakiliki" is viewed as a cvrse word, and the highest degradation. In my penultimate year in school, my ex jilted me because she told the mother i am from Enugu State. Anambra people feels they're more Igbo than the rest of us, igbos. I believe the screenshot attached to this post to the very last letter, hence I'm putting this my experience out, i challenge anyone to rebut this.
Genotypes and bloods group are not only the determinants of suitability for marriage, if you're entangled with Anambra person, as an Ebonyi person; there are 90% chance that your union will not work based ONLY on your state of origin.
