In my years of practice, it is so disheartening to witness how NBA presidential Manifesto debate has been reduced to puppet dubbing.
I walked into the hall hoping to see a well coordinated debate with so much nobility as the profession has been known for, all I could fathom was a group of lawyers mobilized as cheering spectators who were at interval, reminded to cheer a candidate to strategically earn a point.
It’s a pity that most are young lawyers who don’t understand how their choices in this election may affect them, especially when they choose wrongly.
We are the problem in this profession. Imagine the debate was aired?
Quite pathetic how everyone pays attention to the noise, yells and shouts without paying rapt attention to the substance of the just concluded Debate.
I’m a witness of yesterday’s event. All candidates spoke well, but just one candidate is exceptional. I also observed the tranquility and how attentive lawyers and other candidates was to him, how he called his supporters to order even before he mounted the stage. I figured out how pragmatic he was in addressing issued based questions.
Initially I’d this perception about a particular candidate and was ready to give my vote, In a short while, Tobenna’s personality struck my attention and that of many from a distance. From the very first till this day, Tobenna has maintained Character, willingness and sincerity as a true leader from his words and action. Tobenna can never and will never give Nigerian Lawyers false hope. He tells you what he can do and how he intends to achieve same.
I will say this again Tobenna Erojikwe is the right candidate to become the president.
