Plan the number of hours each day you’ll spend on your dreams, the kind of people you’ll love to connect with, the amount of capital you’ll want to invest and the sources of help you are required to get. Make a plan. What ever you intend to do this year, ~ MAKE A PLAN

As we wrap up the year 2023, lots of real estate investors and enthusiasts are wondering what the projection of the real estate market dynamics would be in 2024.

Nigeria’s vast population and growing urban cities have long presented a significant opportunity for real estate growth. The country’s demographic shifts, economic reforms, and foreign investment have all contributed to Nigeria’s real estate market’s recent steady growth. The Nigerian real estate sector, has a promising future that will present challenges and opportunities for investors, developers, and homeowners alike.

In this new series, I fully did a forecast/outlook of the 2024 Real Estate Market in Nigeria, it’s challenges and opportunities and I also shared tips for both investors and developers to navigate.

Let’s talk about Delegation, Shall we?

If you are an entrepreneur, boss, manager, business owner, leader, senior executive or even a superior~ delegation is basically what we struggle with especially in this part of the country because most employees do not like to work! And as a perfectionist, you might struggle to delegate. It is however very important to delegate responsibilities if you want to expand and grow.

So, "Hire people who are better than you are, then leave them to get on with it . . . . Look for people who will aim for the remarkable, who will not settle for the routine." Do not give up until you find them!

Once you've identified your crucial tasks and sorted out your priorities, try to find a way to delegate everything else. The inability to delegate is one of the biggest problems I see with managers at all levels.

The trick to delegating tasks is to make sure your employees share your priorities. Bosses should make clear what qualifies as an emergency, which situations require a team, individual, or leader response, and how far each person's duties and abilities can be stretched.

Find the best people to whom you can delegate, and know their strengths and weaknesses. If you think you can do it better, delegate anyway and try as hard as you can to close that gap by giving your colleague or employee the right feedback. Then recognize and accept that just because someone does something a little differently than you would, that doesn't mean it's wrong. What counts is that your goals get accomplished at a sufficient level of quality."

As all entrepreneurs know, you live and die by your ability to prioritize. You must focus on the most important, mission-critical tasks each day and night, and then share, delegate, delay, or skip the rest."
