In over a decade-long practice working on diverse briefs some of which necessitated high level comparator reviews of laws and executive policies across continents and sub-disciplines, I recall seemingly unending nights that my team and I would spend dredging through pools of data, which often, were either subscription bound in terms of ease of access or were rendered in a lingua other than the English language. There were times we considered outsourcing to local counsel in the relevant jurisdictions, but we had to reconsider upon further reflection as to how/where to source credible local support at short notice. A task made more difficult by the fact that there is no global ‘yellow book’ of legal practitioners.

During my cerebral roller coasters with one of such instructions, I had a eureka moment: what if we could synergize collaborations to have a global unity of the law tribe unhindered by distance and unbarred by regulatory, language and/or cultural barriers? This question led to the birthing of a five-fold vision, which has culminated in two pioneering innovations, the first of which my team and I are beyond excited to introduce to you all, learned colleagues, today: Eskwaya® (www.eskwaya.com)

The first of its kind, Eskwaya® is posed to redefine the practice of law by deploying advanced Artificial Intelligence to build a global community to enhance collaboration and partnership for all lawyers, irrespective of rank.

Eskwaya® offers a free multi-strategy and multi-lingual transnational platform to lawyers to accelerate their careers by granting access to a pool of opportunities, such as the opportunity to hire or be hired - whether as a trainee associate, freelance, secondee, et al. Lawyers can also seek collaboration for a case/transaction; seek co-authorship or peer review of publications; source a partner to start a new practice with or to merge existing practices; invite commentaries on recondite points of law; and even hold sessions right within the App.

The platform will also foster responsibility in working conditions across law firms as it boasts a rating function enabling lawyers to provide permissible untraceable anonymous feedback on work conditions, based on set criteria, for purposes of policy advocacy with relevant Bar regulators.

These are in addition to the Eskwaya® progressive feature of affording lawyers a diversified stream of income by facilitating direct in-app consultations from other lawyers worldwide on jurisdiction-specific matters, and the opportunity to provide country-specific court and/or corporate search, filling, and legal due diligence services. The Eskwaya® value is truly boundless!

So then, head over to www.eskwaya.com and sign up to begin discovering the limitless possibilities that Eskwaya® offers, free of charge, right from the comfort of your devices.
Grow! Network! Impact! Break Boundaries! Have fun!
And watch this space…

Yours at the Bar,
A.E.D.
