As part of the African Law Students' Association-ALSA Board of Trustees’ routine engagements, on Friday, August 14, 2026, Mr. James Aaporekuu, Deputy Secretary to the Board payed a visit to Mr. Prince Ulame, Board Member, in Savannah Georgia, USA.

The meet up provided an opportunity to discuss several important matters relating to the continued growth, sustainability, and long-term direction of the Association.

A key focus of the discussions was the preparatory work towards the ALSA/ILSA Jessup Connect, scheduled to take place in Toronto, Canada, in April 2027. The engagement forms part of ALSA’s broader commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships, expanding opportunities for African law students, and positioning the Association for greater international engagement.

ALSA continues to value purposeful leadership, institutional collaboration, and forward-looking engagements that contribute to building a stronger and more sustainable Association.

The International Executives of the African Law Students' Association held a Virtual Courtesy Visit with the Executives of the Australian Law Students' Association on the 9th of August, 2026.

The cordial engagement provided an opportunity for both leadership teams to connect, exchange perspectives and gain a deeper understanding of each Association's work and priorities.

Discussions explored potential areas of collaboration, including international competitions, academic engagement, student opportunities and broader cross-continental initiatives.

As ALSA continues to strengthen its global network, we look forward to building meaningful connections that create greater opportunities for law students across Africa and beyond.
