AirBnB business may appear quite complex and relatable venture in the diaspora but I'm writing this post as a property consultant based in Nigeria so sister industries to hospitality in my country (Nigeria) will catch the peculiarity points in this conversation.

AirBnB is quite a flexible business to run has a startup or a Big corporation overseas and other Economic progressive African countries, why? because of the key fundamental in standard of living which are;
💡steady power supply,
🚸good road network.
they're the basic essentials for optimal home comfort, but in an areas where this are not regularly obtainable, hospitality business has to invest more cost in getting this standards met.

This client called in for reservations she asked if our apartment's equipped with steady power supply she was flying into the country the next day, knowing the irregularities the country face most time with steady power supply she needed just that conviction from me that during her stay there will be 24/7 electricity, I gave her the assurance that the property owners have always put standby substitute for power incase the need arise. it is a non negotiatiable in AirBnB business, because the business thrives on that.

You can't retain guests if your AirBnB is lacking adequate living standards, the Esthetics and ambience can attract the attention but it is the amenities that sustain the stay-cation. how your guests feel during their stay is the result you should capitalize.

CREATIVE UNIQUE POINTS IN AIRBNB AND HOSPITALITY BUSINESS.

in every business it's important to note key factors that enables thriving and market, yes I know visibility correlates to consistent marketing but I'm here to for hospitality industry and believe that in this industry your guests do the marketing often based on stay-cation and visitation experiences.

Recently I noticed that a particular Apartment I shortlist has more frequent visits and longer stays so I took out time to note key differences between those Apartments shortlisted for bookings, I realized that some guest loved the bathroom section of this particular house. they loved that they could take a bath and also do their regular cosmetic body routine at the time while in bathroom, the cavity section in the shower has space for creams, body fragrances and also aromatic scented candles all in one spot.

it was very important for me to notes this points, as a cheat code for my interior decoration project coming up soon 😉👍

TIME OPTIMIZATION FOR TRAVELERS

This recent past days, I got really preoccupied with Time management and reservation bookings from my returning guests. it was quite challenging because the peak of the festive period is almost fading out so people want to hop back to their various base for resumption of the new year plans..

however it's not guaranteed that most of them will meet up with their timeline, this is where it get choked up for us in the hospitality line, in this industry the dire need for Time adjustment and accommodation availability need to be studied and provided accordingly with absolute linear attention.

Here are some factors that comes to play;

1️⃣ Prioritize first the frequent customers/returning guest reservations, these are customers that have adapt to your services for a long time (they keep you in business).

2️⃣ If a guest is not certain of their departure date, endeavor to make other prerequisite plans by providing other accommodation options, should incase he/she decide to exceed their reservations due date. this will help avoid clash with other bookings from a different guest.

3️⃣ if possible have information about flights ✈️ updates from the airport terminals around the city, this also help visiting guest or tourist who have no knowledge about how the area works or connect them with a reliable cab service.

4️⃣ Make sure payment is made in advance especially for guest staying for extended periods.
