🏛️ A 4-Day Retreat for Honourable Members and Management Staff of the Gombe State House of Assembly

I was privileged to participate in the 4-Day Retreat for Honourable Members and Management Staff of the Gombe State House of Assembly, held at Chatwell Hotel, Kano.

The retreat provided a valuable platform for reflection, learning, and constructive engagement on strengthening legislative effectiveness and promoting good governance. It brought together Honourable Members and management staff to deepen our understanding of our respective responsibilities and explore practical approaches to improving the legislative process and service to our people.

As a legislator representing the good people of Perochonge Constituency, I remain committed to contributing meaningfully to a more effective, responsive, accountable, and people-centred legislature.

The retreat further reinforced the importance of teamwork, professionalism, transparency, effective representation, and purposeful legislation in delivering sustainable development to our constituents and the people of Gombe State.

I appreciate the leadership of the Gombe State House of Assembly for providing this important opportunity for capacity building and institutional strengthening.

Together, we continue to learn, reflect, and work towards a stronger legislature and better governance for all.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State has officially released the list of 24 consensus candidates for the State House of Assembly constituencies.

This development follows extensive and inclusive consultations with key stakeholders, senior party figures and aspirants, as part of deliberate efforts to strengthen internal cohesion, foster unity, and move forward as a united and formidable force ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

RAMADAN KAREEM: A SEASON OF COMPASSION, GIVING, AND BLESSINGS
In the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan a sacred period defined by sacrifice, compassion, and generosity we were privileged to extend our support to our esteemed constituents, particularly our Muslim brothers and sisters who are faithfully observing the fast.
As part of our unwavering commitment to the welfare and well-being of our people, we facilitated the distribution of cash assistance, wrappers, fabric materials, and essential food items. This initiative is intended to ease the burden of the fasting period and support our constituents as they prepare for the joyous celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.

Ramadan serves as a profound reminder of the virtues of charity, particularly Zakat and Sadaqah. As stated in the Holy Qur’an:
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like that of a seed of grain which grows seven ears; in every ear are a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills.” (Qur’an 2:261)

Indeed, acts of giving transcend obligation they are pathways to divine blessings, mercy, and forgiveness. They foster unity, uplift the less privileged, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood within our communities.
I wish to express my sincere appreciation to our leader, His Excellency, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya (Danmajen Gombe), whose visionary leadership and steadfast support continue to inspire a culture of selfless service to humanity.
I also extend my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated supporters and well-wishers for your unwavering loyalty, encouragement, and prayers. Your continued support remains the cornerstone of our collective achievements.
As we progress through this blessed month, may Allah (SWT) accept our fasts, prayers, and acts of charity, and grant us abundant rewards.
