Dearly beloved Brethren /members of the Christian Lawyers Fellowship of Nigeria Abuja Branch.
I come before you today with immense gratitude and humility as I accept the great honour and responsibility of serving as the Chairman of our esteemed Fellowship . I am deeply moved by the trust and confidence you have placed in me, and together with my new Branch Executive Council members we are committed to carrying out the duties of this office with the utmost dedication and integrity.
First and foremost, we want to express our gratitude to God, who has been our source of strength and guidance throughout our lives and career. It is our firm belief that with His grace, we will continue to uphold the values and vision of this great Fellowship
Your faith in electing us as your leaders for the next 3 years is truly inspiring, and as a team we are honoured for this opportunity to serve you.
As we look to the future, we are wholeheartedly committed to leading this Fellowship with integrity, transparency, and a deep sense of purpose.
Together, we will strive to promote the vision of our founding fathers and the application of Christian principles in the practice of law, advocate for justice and fairness in our legal system, and serve as beacons of hope and compassion within the Nigerian Bar, Advocates Africa , our communities and the country at large and in line with our motto: A new legal profession anchored on Christ…
We recognise the challenges that lie ahead giving that in the coming year 2024, the Branch will be hosting the National conference , but we are confident that with collective wisdom, expertise, and faith of you our members, we will overcome any obstacles that may arise. Together, we will continue to make meaningful impacts in the legal profession and in the lives of those we are called to serve.
To our Elders , Judges, Senior Advocates, Seniors Colleagues and all Chairmen- in- Council members, we appreciate you for all you do for the Fellowship, please do not get weary when you see us come to you for support both spiritual and financial, for we won’t stop coming, please permit us as you did the outgone executive under the Chairmanship of Pastor Paul Ogbu, to stand on your shoulders once more, it is only then we will be able to take the giant leaps required of us as a team to foster the Vision and Mission of the Fellowship , for it is said that those who have fathers shall go farther, you are indeed our fathers.
To our teeming members and Brethren colleagues within Nigeria and the Diaspora, put your hands in our hands, let’s walk together step by step in ensuring that the vision of CLASFON is continually upheld.
If there were any form of subsidies in whatever form that existed within the Fellowship during the outgone administration, please be assured that such subsidies still stand un-removed.
In Closing, permit us to appreciate with gratitude the outgone Branch executive under the leadership of pastor Paul Ogbu, which by Gods grace performed excellently well and we pray the good Lord to reward them for their selfless service in his vine yard.
May the love of Christ guide and inspire us as we work together to fulfill our mission.
Thank you once again for this tremendous honour as we look forward to the journey ahead with great anticipation and hope.
