Legal guidance on how to register a Company, Business Name as well as Incorporated Trustee ( that is NGO, Churches, Religious Organization etc.)
(Only the registration of Company and Business name will be exclusively discussed in this article.) With the Corporate Affairs Commission also known as C.A.C.
1. Decide on the name you want to use as your company name, Business name or Incorporated Trustee.
a. Business/Company/ Incorporated Trustee name is that name you want your business or company or Incorporated trustee to be known as.
2. Reservation of the name.
a. You reserve the name through an online account already created with C.A.C. by accredited users.
b. The name will be checked and if similar to a name already registered, it won't be approved by C.A.C.
c. If not similar with any other existing name, it will be approved.
d. Note that C.A.C., at all-time reserves the right to always deny the approval of names and registrations.
2. When approved your memorandum and article of Association will be prepared with objectives that are relevant to the line of work intended to be carried out by the company or business that is in the process of registration.
3. The required C.A.C. forms will be filled and
4. Both the forms, memorandum and article of association will be signed. When registering a business name, the proprietors will sign and in case of the company Directors and shareholders will sign.
5. The same Documents will be stamped, after stamp duty fee has been paid alongside necessary incorporation fees.
6. All the documents will be uploaded via the same portal used for the reservation of the name.

You are cooking by the road side, you get patronage and you are calling yourself mama put, you pass by Mr. Biggs and you are wondering, when will my shop be like this. Now let me tell you, the difference between you the job seeker and that private company you keep going to for employment is preparation. The difference between you the mama put and Mr. Biggs is preparation.
How do I mean?
That C.E.O. of that company discovered what he is good at, branded it by giving it a name registered the name with the appropriate authorities, kept been good at what he knows how to do and now he is a successful Man. For the mama put, the difference between you and mr.biggs is the name and brand, the food you both cook may be the same. Mr. Biggs was probably one time a road side food seller, maybe has always had that name but today it's a successful business. The first thing we all need to succeed is a name for that thing you are good at. Your name in the future will effectually become you brand.
