ALHAMDULILLAH, I HAVE BEEN CHOSEN FOR CHEVENING!!
How could I keep calm when I have been ?😂😅
Want to know what the CHEVENING is all about?
CHEVENING is the UK Government Int'l Scholarship Programme, funded by the FCDO and partner organizations. CHEVENING offer individuals who show potential to lead, inspire, and influence positive changes, the opportunity to study at the UK.
CHEVENING is more than just a Fully-funded Scholarship, it is an admission into the prestigious Global Chevening Community of more than 57,000 Leaders across the World.
The Journey to this point has been tough, for the rigorous selection process requires a great deal of dedication, resilience and belief in yourself, especially when competing against over 70,000 highly qualified candidates from all over the world in a Programme with less than 2% acceptance rate.
However, the process has shaped my drive and strengthened my determination.
Alhamdulillah, I'm one of the 32 Scholars who have won the 2024-2025 Chevening Awards, out of over 11,000 applicants from Nigeria. With this great opportunity, I will be heading to the UNIVERSITY OF ESSEX, UK to study LL.M in INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS LAW, in sha Allah.
Over 7 years, I have been working with both National and International Organisations in the areas of protection and promotion of the rights of Internally Displaced Persons, Refugees, Illegally Detained People, Prisoners Women and Children. I have driven by those experiences to pursue LL.M in International Human Rights Law at one of the Globally Renowned University with proven excellence in Human Rights Law.
This opportunity will not only enable me to connect and share ideas with experts in the field, but will also enrich my skills, broaden my knowledge, widen my perception and equip me to tackle the pressing problems of human rights violations in Nigeria and beyond.
I'm deeply grateful to the , , , the Mentors, Friends and Family for contributing in making this daring dream a reality.
