If the report credited to Prof Charles Soludu on his submission of bill to the Anambra State House of Assembly to deduct from local government allocation is true, he better shelve the idea to avoid disgrace. Such bill is desecration of the Supreme Court Judgment on local government autonomy. All these disgruntled politicians will not let the people be until they face disgrace. Let all well meaning Nigerians arise to tackle these enemies of grassroot democracy and development.

Nice idea, but is the bar code on CAC certificate not enough LEI?

We urge all lovers and advocate of grassroot development to rally round local government to leverage on effective implementation of the Supreme Court Judgment on LGA autonomy

11/07/2024

The key points of the Supreme Court Judgment on LGA autonomy gathered from credible sources:

1. The Supreme Court of Nigeria has Ordered full financial autonomy for Local Government Areas (LGAs) across the Country.

2. The Court ruled that it is illegal and unconstitutional for state governors to dissolve democratically elected local government councils.

3. The Judgment directs the Federal Government to henceforth pay allocations directly to LGAs, bypassing state governments.

4. The Court Ordered that allocations should be withheld from any LGA run by caretaker committees appointed by state governors.

5. This ruling aims to address the issue of state governors interfering with LGA funds and undermining local democracy and development.

6. The decision was made in a case brought by the Federal Government against the 36 state governors.

With this I urge you to hold council chairmen accountable.

Democracy is taking root in Nigeria for the first time

Today my bank came up with some garbage terms and conditions, urging me to accept or decline. I pressed decline. They are crazy. I will sue those bastards. Trust me.

You have the right, as a customer, to sue your bank for closing down office and refusing to allow you withdraw your money within CBN approved limit. It is fraudulent for a bank to shut down office Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm when labour is not on national strike. As a customer, you never bargained for your bank to close office when they ought to open. I expect litigations to spring from these actions of the banks particularly Zenith Bank and First Bank. If you do have capacity to run a bank, selling it, use the money and establish farm.

CBN Naira Policy: if you are dissatisfied with your bank's handling of your financial relationship with it, consult your lawyer with experience in law of banking and consumer protection. The state of anarchy going on in the banking sector needs to be arrested forthwith.
