11.08. Use of titles in court, judgments or orders

An Advocate and Solicitor need not in court, address or refer to another Advocate and Solicitor by title conferred upon the latter. Correspondingly, an Advocate and Solicitor who has been conferred a title should not request, require, expect or insist that he/she be addressed or referred to, in court, by his/her title. Accordingly, all references to titles and awards conferred on an Advocate and Solicitor whose name appears in a judgment or order shall be excluded from such judgment or order.

53.Emergency lane.

(1) Subject to subrule(2), no vehicle of any specified classes or description shall be driven, towed, pushed, parked or left unattended on any emergency lane except in cases of emergency.

(2) Subrule (1) shall not apply to certain specified classes and description of vehicles driven by persons engaged by the Minister charged with the responsibility for works in relation to a Federal road or by the authorised person under subsection 2(1) of the Federal Roads (Private Management ) Act 1984, his agents, assign and authorised representatives to carry out any work on a Federal road or its adjacent areas.

(3) Subrule (1) shall not apply to the vehicles mentioned in rule 9.

(4) For the purposes of the rules, " emergency lane " means the extra lane or verge on the left hand side of a single, dual, three or four lane carriageway of a Federal road designated as an emergency lane.
