Recent development on EMPLOYMENT LAW.

Despite many people calling this "the way forward", it is a struggle to see how.

IN SUMMARY: An employee is given the right to apply for flexible working arrangement. Good. An employer is given the right to refuse with reason. Fair. So where do we go from here? Is it only meant to provide a legal avenue? That's not very impactful now, is it?

ACCIDENT CASES bits 📬

🖋️What happens when you drive an uninsured vehicle and cause an accident?

🖋️Can the victim pursue a claim against you and the owner of the vehicle (assuming you are not the owner)

YES.

🖋️Can you then afford to pay the compensation and costs as ordered by the court? It could be in the thousands, hundreds of thousands and even millions in some cases.

🖋️Do you know that if you fail to pay, enforcement actions can be taken against you and the owner of the vehicle.

🖋️But do you know that if the vehicle has insurance coverage:

✅ you do not have to fork out your own money to pay the victim as ordered by the court because your insurer will take full responsibility;

✅you don't even have to appoint a lawyer yourself because your insurer will appoint one of their panel solicitors to defend you (unless you have breached the terms of the policy which really means some deliberate unlawful actions on your part);

✅you may not even have to go to court;

✅your only loss may be losing the NCD.

🖋️Having a valid insurance coverage does not only mean your own repairs and damage are covered. It also goes on to protect you from property and bodily injury claims by another.

🖋️More importantly, we feel that it is only fair if the victim is adequately compensated for the losses, pain and suffering and not be further victimised by your failure to secure a valid insurance coverage.

🖋️Simply put - DO NOT drive an uninsured vehicle.
