Our Partner, Wilson Ho, moderated Arbitration on Tap #2 on 31 July 2026, the second edition of the series organised by the Bar Council Arbitration and Construction Law Committee, on which Wilson serves as Co-Deputy Chairperson.

The session featured the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Arbitration), with Sitpah Selvaratnam, Tejus Chauhan and Irene Mira, alongside Abang Iwawan, Co-Chairperson of the Committee.

The discussion covered the work of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, the institution's engagement in Asia, and the changes introduced by the revised ICC Rules of Arbitration.

The series is built around small, direct conversations between Members of the Bar and the people who manage and run arbitral institutions.

The Firm thanks the ICC and the Committee for a substantive afternoon.

⚖️ Talk-Law! — Building Capability from Within

As part of our ongoing Talk-Law! series, our pupils in chambers, Gabriel Lim Wei Qian and Hoe John Weng, recently led an in-house session for the team.

Gabriel discussed the “Without Prejudice” rule, focusing on its underlying principles, while John covered liquidated ascertained damages, with a practical look at its application in construction disputes.

At Ho Partnership & Neoh, we believe the best way to learn is to engage, question, and teach. Providing our pupils and young lawyers with the platform to present and lead discussions is one of the ways we build confidence, clarity, and depth in practice.

These sessions may be internal, but they reflect something we value deeply: building a team that is thoughtful, capable, and constantly improving.

🏛️ Courtrooms, clients, and a bit of travel – just another week in litigation practice.

A few snapshots from the week at Ho Partnership & Neoh.

One of the things we appreciate most about litigation practice is that no two weeks ever look the same.

In recent days, our team found ourselves in different parts of the country – from the historic corridors of the Penang courts, to the bustling courts of Johor Bahru, and ending the week with a warm Ramadan iftar dinner hosted by our clients.

These moments may seem routine in practice, but they remind us what makes the profession meaningful – working closely with colleagues across different courts, building relationships with clients, and sharing conversations beyond the courtroom.

At Ho Partnership & Neoh, it’s not just about the matters we handle, but also the people we work with and the journey along the way.

Grateful for the team, the clients who trust us, and the opportunities to practise across courts around the country.

✨🏛️🏃‍♀️ 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆: A full weekend with the Bar — from the Annual Dinner, to advocacy training, to the KL Bar Run.

It was a meaningful and eventful weekend for the team at Ho Partnership & Neoh.

Firstly, we were delighted to attend the Malaysian Bar Annual Dinner & Dance, where our Firm was represented by Wilson Ho, Kimberly Ng, Izyan Nazim, Lim Hooi Wen and Chiang Rou Oh. It was a wonderful evening spent reconnecting with friends and colleagues across the profession, celebrating the shared journey of the Bar, and enjoying a night of good company and great conversations.

Secondly, during that same weekend, our Associates, Hooi Wen and Chiang Rou, together with our pupil, Hoe John Weng, attended the Advocacy Training Course at the Kuala Lumpur Courts — a hands-on programme designed to strengthen foundational courtroom advocacy skills for young practitioners.

Thirdly, the very next morning, the energy continued as our Senior Associate, Kimberly Ng, took part in the KL Bar Run, joining fellow members of the legal community in a spirited and healthy start to the day.

From professional development to formal gatherings and community events, this impactful weekend was a reminder that the legal profession is built not only on advocacy and excellence, but also on learning, camaraderie, connection, and shared experiences beyond the courtroom.

At Ho Partnership & Neoh, we value being part of a profession that comes together — to learn, to celebrate, to support, and to grow stronger as one community.
